5th generation Subaru Impreza brake pad and rotor job using 2017 Impreza Limited. This process of disassembly and tools needed should be same among all 17-23 Imprezas and 18-23 Crosstreks. May apply to other Subaru models as well.
Even with a VIN, aftermarket parts stores may not know your Impreza's front rotor size and will tell you about two size options.
If you have Base/Premium/Limited: 277mm rotor
If you have Sport: 294mm rotor
Rear rotor size should be same across all models of Impreza & Crosstrek these years.
Note: Though same platform, I can only guess about front rotor size(s) on 2018-2023 Crosstreks. If someone can comment on those I would appreciate it!
    Tools and stuff:
    Penetrating oil/WD40
    Brake parts cleaner
    clean shop rags or towels
    14mm combination wrench
    17mm combination wrench
19mm socket for your (stock) lug nuts
    Jack and jack stands
    big channel-lock pliers
    mechanics wire or bungee cord
Random metric bolts (I think M8 thread??)
wrench for said random metric bolts
    Big effin' hammer
