The Artificial Intelligence training was made with Unity using ml-agents. Going into details would be boring and would take forever to cover (A.I, machine learning, deep reinforcement learning, map concept, camera work, tooling, evolution etc..) we hope you enjoy the final result as much as we did doing it!

I have a coupple questions tho:
- How much of the video is realistic, genuine AI
training and how much is rather manually set-
up scenes for the sake if the story telling?
- Did the AI really complete the later levels after
so little training?
- Can we have a behind the scenes video with all
the technical details about the world, the AI,
the perception of environment, the enemy AI
training process?

I think the only manually set thing is the editing (stopping the video to make the ai "speak")
1/ The whole video is genuine AI training. Basically, I watched the whole raw footages and built the storytelling around it.
Most of the time, the training took way longer and I cut these parts to keep the flow of the story.
2/ No it took way more trials but watching 300 attempts of Bobby getting caught by the red AI would've been super boring so the storytelling took over and I only selected the most interesting parts that fit the story.
3/ Maybe at some point but our focus right now is fully to produce more content. It that could happen in the future but definitely not the current priority to be honest.
The only command I know in coding is the print command so uhh props to you for finding out the secrets of the universe
This is really fascinating. It'd be super interesting to see this model get put into something with different mechanics and after its been trained on something new for a super long time to see if it could still fall back on its old training later on. Imagine this blue guy in like a farming sim where he has to learn how to harvest crops until hes attacked and the platforming kicks in.

I was more emotionally invested in this than most shows

this is so cool it's like aiwarehouse but with more entraînement, you could try adding a skybox and some tiling textures to the bricks, maybe a toon shader as well. good stuff overall!
