That is an excellent question! The included hardware is almost identical to a standard deadbolt and while the surface area on the T1L lock is larger I don’t think there is any reason for concern. This is a well made product and I trust it with my personal homes security.
@@boxiii Interesting...so with that logic, would it stand to reason the smaller the surface area the more secure...ie if choosing between the newer version that's even slimmer and smaller in footprint should be more secure than this larger one that's a bit bulkier?
It quite possibly could. However, it would completely depend on the materials Yale used on the newer model. I think either way Yale is a safe bet for a reliable and safe product. Some of the largest security providers in the world rely on Yale. Hope that helps!

I am currently running this with my Honeywell total connect app. My alarm panel has Z Wave integration so that is how I set it up.
What app do I use to lock my house with this lock?
How secure are the two screws that hold the front keypad? Heard it can be jimmied off with a screw driver wedged between it and the door.

is there a limit to how many digits -long- the 'unlock' code can be? if so, how many digits max?
