I'm 71. I've been working with glass without any training for years now. I've really enjoyed your videos and would like to thank you for putting these out.

I almost can’t watch your videos until I get materials because it makes me want to do it so badly. Almost is the operative word given its too relaxing to not watch. I also appreciate the shoutouts to the other TH-camrs who helped you. I like having multiple sources and the fact that you give credit where credit is due. Keep it up, I love watching!

Thanks for this 1 as well as your other videos!! I am new and am learning about hinges! I just made a small suncatcher and 1 piece is bending. I am now going to try to take it off and reinforce it and resolder it thanks to this video!

Excellent. A panel in my first piece break recently and I thought it was a goner. But now I'll try to repair it thanks to your tutorial. Looking forward to new projects, tips and ideas. Two thumbs up on your GOT piece. So cool!

Great video on repairs! Very informative. Just did a repair on a letter project. It cracked while I was mounting it. You'll get to see it in a few weeks in my video. OUCH! it hurt and was demoralizing when you get that close to being done and that happens! You want to🤬! 🤣🤣

Yeah, trying to repair a piece can certainly be daunting. Good straightforward video.
If I could just make two tangential suggestions. First, you should look into using a Homasote board when you're laying out and soldering your pieces. Homasote is soft, so you can use metal push pins to keep your pieces together.
Second, consider using more rounded solder lines. Flat may sometimes be necessary for some aesthetic, but it will be weaker than a rounded solder line.

@@heartfuldesigns4you a flat vs rounded solder line. When I started in stained glass I tried so hard to make my solder lines flat, only to find out later that it gives much less strength.

@@michaelkolozsvari3575 agree, "a flat seam is a bad seam" Lady Berz. Bead seams take the patina much better too

Well, not meaning to be picky, but, technically, REPLACING the BROKEN glass doesn't qualify as REPAIRING it.
