- Deputy Labour leader Angela Rayner has insisted the party is ready to win power and lead the nation.
Delivering the party conference's closing speech, she said the next few years would be "tough" but now is the time for Labour to "rise to the moment and deliver for the working people of Britain".

This is the first time I have listened to Labour ever and a lot of what she says is right. I just cant get past the far left influence still in the party.
What about the far right influence in The Conservative Party which has infiltrated into most of the cabinet? The far left in the Labour is a tiny minority, the centre has by far the most power in the Labour party.

Would it not be a good idea to use conference to talk about future policies rather than the Opposition. We know why it is done - to please the faithful, but millions will tune in to watch and listen to `nothingness`, consisting of platitudes, jokes and vague promises that have no substance. A complete failure to use a huge opportunity to speak to the nation.
They have done that; they propose nationalizing the electricity grid and railway system, increasing green energy, and a raft of other policies.
