    As a pro angler boat official I agree 100% with Randy on these 3. I also see Yamamoto 5 inch senko ( honestly nearly 100% use it and take the wacky rig out of box after take off), Yamamoto zako as chatter bait trailer, small Keitech swim bait, damiki armor shad minnow, and a robo worm (drop shot). In the small mouth lakes you add the small Berkeley flat worm.

      @@jamesjellissen7371 Get Berkley to make a decent skirted grub then. They made a powerbait hula grub for about 3 seconds back about 25 years ago. It lasted 3 seconds because it sucked. The tails didn’t move and there wasn’t much of a skirt. Yamamoto makes the best skirted grub by a mile and those little things get bit a ton. LM and spots love them and there’s a good case it’s probably the best smallmouth lure ever made.

    The problem with Megabass is cost. Their baits are not so much better than other comparable jerk baits and swim baits to justify the average fisherman spending $25 for a jerkbait. I will put the 6th Sense Provoke jerkbait against the 110 any day. I will put the 6th Sense Crush Flat 75 against Megabass flat side lure all day long and twice on Sunday. I’m not saying Megabass lures don’t catch fish. I’m saying they are simply way overpriced and equally as good and in some cases, better lures are on the market at 1/2 the cost with just as good quantity. I would love to buy a Megabass fishing rod, but they are just too expensive and there are other brands that are as good or better on the market for alot less money. Honestly, Megabass doesn’t seem to care about the average fisherman cost wise, and that’s a shame.

    • @WisGuy4
      @WisGuy4 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Agreed. I think I’ve only bought one Megabass lure in my life and it was a Dark Sleeper for a not-outrageous $6.99 that I have yet to try.
      I think Megabass has realized that if the average Joe angler who makes $40,000 a year can somehow manage to buy himself a $50,000 bass boat and a blinged-out $70,000 pick up truck truck to tow it, the guy is somehow going to be a sucker for any marketing that tells him that the $18-$50 Megabass lures will catch him a whole lot more fish than the $3 to $10 lures. And then he believes deep in his heart that he will be lusted after by supermodels, SEC cheerleaders, and “real“ he-men in “tactical” gear, as well as admired by good hunting hounds.

    • @robertdtimmerman
      @robertdtimmerman 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@WisGuy4…. I use the Dark Sleeper a lot and have caught plenty of fish with it. It is reasonably priced and probably sells out alot due to it’s reasonable price. I think the Frittside is good but it will never even come close to a flat side wooden bait imo. Maybe younger anglers don’t have them but I know for sure the older guys all have them. I’m only 26 saying this but had the luxury of growing up around my Dad and a great lure maker who taught me a couple years to do it before he passed away recently. Not knocking plastic lures but nothing will compare to a balsa crank for me personally.

    Lake Fork observation: anglers were catching fish “sight fishing beds” which makes it sound like scoping is not involved. Actually entailed both sight fishing & scoping them. So likely you’re gonna hear proponents of livescope say “almost all fish were caught sight fishing without livescope” When actually they scoped & counted first, then caught sight fishing afterwards. Would’ve been harder to tell that there’s 6 or 8 fish on a bank without it. They don’t count it as live scoping if it’s only used to find them, but not to get the bite 😂 the denial is insane.

    This is a total product shill video. Pathetic. You failed to mention the obvious lure and that's a Senko. But you're not sponsored by them, apparently.
