My dad is 86. The first combine he remembers was a case pull type that most neighbors pulled with an f-20 McCormick and picked up a 6 foot swath. My grandfather had an f-12 McCormick with a lower gear so they could pick up 2 6' swaths.
I am not a farmer, but I enjoy these videos. I'm curious about these 10,000 acre farmers as far as profitability vs 1000 acre farms . Sincere question : do the " big farmers make that much profit ( percentage wise) after all the expenses of equipment, fuel and maintenance as the 1000 acre farmer , who has less expenses ? I'm in Ohio , so we don't see the 10,000 acre farmers often , if any . I'm curious about the expenses of all these costly machines to farm that much land. I'm not a troll . Farmers feed the world , and work long hours to earn a living .
Neighbor 6 miles west of me in east central Alberta the local NH dealer brought out the new cr11 with the 61 ft Macdon header and in 40ish bu canola was doing 7.5 mph and the drone footage man there was hardy a pod in the tank! ridiculously clean samples! And they run 2 9.90 cr's with 50fts and they were doing 6 mph!
I ran a CR11 in 280bu corn and a 16 row header. 6 mph was as fast as I wanted to go. But it would have went faster. No cob, other than head loss it is a beast. Ran an X9 1100 in the same field, and it is a beast too. NH had the right idea with the twin rotor.
Diggin the soundtrack and editing with your drone skills, excellent... Thanks Mr., always enjoyed watching Y'all. Especially that crew that built your BIG building, that crew --- tough as nails. Anyway, great video. Godspeed to you & yours!
Another great video, and thanks to your videos I am learning about the many differences between Montana farming and the Midwest. Your content is well put together. It is nice to have a good Montana TH-cam Ag Channel and your's is the only one (I don't count the dust mowing web personalities.) Thank you !
Not really AF 11 is little bigger and has different monitors plus the spreader is different too. There other things that I not remember all of them . New Holland and CaseIH are owned by same company but there is a lot ot difference in them. Ok you might want to go check them out little closer ok.
Actually they are completely different this New Holland is the CR1090 NOT the CR11 which means it's smaller than the CR11 and therefore smaller than the AF11
Check the fuel tank. It could have the white milk shake starving the engine. When I was in the US ARMY the howitzer was in had the same Issue. Lower in power . After many fuel filter and fuel pumps , the FS shop diagnosed the pack (engine) as being bad. When we pulled the pack , I pulled the filler tube and we fond the white milk shake. We cleaned the 30 or so gallons out and reinstalled the pack and the howitzer ran like a bat from the dark side, she would lift the front road wheels off the ground. The unit commander had every howitzer section clean there fuel tanks and everyone of them ran stronger. Hope this helps.
It’s impressive to see the combination of the New Holland CR10.90 and the MacDon 61 ft header in action during the harvest. I particularly like how the automation helps improve the cleanliness of the grain sample. However, dealing with fuel pressure issues and performance on uneven fields seems like quite a challenge. Is there any plan for adjustments or upgrades to optimize the machine’s operation in more challenging conditions?
The iveco motor shells out fuel pressure pumps. Ours was under warrantied as the manufacturer is required to warranty fuel and emissions systems for 10 years
At the 2:50 mark in the video the combine Tim is driving the header appears to have flexed, higher in the center but different heights on each end. Optical illusion or a design feature?
that new holland also does some fancy stuff with the TABLE don't it so when you are on the hills and inclines it angles somethingsomehow and well, ;) yea... did you notice any of that in your hilly stuff??
The cleaning sieves follow the terrain side to side. Opti-fan controls the fans speed going up a hill and down. It will increase the fan speed going downhill and liwer going uphill.@terrymertz1923
The wider headers get, the longer the unloader tube needed. Trouble is, there has got to be a point reached, where the anchorage for said unloader auger is simply no longer strong enough, and fails, big time ! I really can't understand why modern so called design engineers can't see this - it's a fundamental issue of leverage. I can't remember who it was said ' give me a long enough lever, and I'll move the World', but he definitely had a point !
Archimedes also needed a fulcrum to place the lever. If they can build a 61' header that does not break, they also can build a 30' unloading auger that does not break. These engineers have computers and programs to calculate these things. That's why masts of sailing ships or towers of wind turbines work. At one point in the future, the machines don't get much bigger, but much smarter and work autonomously. For example, the Nexat.
12:38 hey TONY..... that combine has the engine tilted aligned with the rotor right? did you notice any HARMONIC VIBERATIONS that are in the ones that have FLAT MOUNTED ENGINES AND TILTED ROTORS???? harmonic viberations that are there in the older ones that is ''MISSING LIKE TOTALLY GONE'' in the newholly11 ??? it SEEMS like there should be more sincronized viberations so there should be LESS FELT VIBERATIONS.... so far noone has seemed to answer this, or the answer was just a ''yea it's smoother I guess they did a lot of... blahblahblah...'' period answer...
Ok so I don’t know shitelse bout farm’n but it seems everything is get’n bigger and bigger right ???? So how come someone hasn’t been able to come up w a dual tractor head to cover more like 120’ in a single pass ?!?!!! I mean w today’s technology and GPS systems why the F not ?? Double the head (or more ) and set up a dual tractor set up or am I just stupid I don’t know. Just be’n a rodeo cowboy don’t make me a farmer but someone set this cowboy straight how bout it. LMK TRUMP 🇺🇸🤠👊
We have an air drill that is 100’ wide. Combining you need to watch to hazards in the field. Going to wide you might not be able to see them. Combines haven’t been big enough until lately for headers much bigger than 45-50’.
The changes I have seen in my life time. I'm 81, if I remember correctly our combine, a Massey-Harris, had a 12 foot header.
My first combine a used 510 Massey had a 13 ft head😂 wow things have changed 👍
Mine was 6’ drag Allis-Chamber
Bagger until. We put hopper on it. Times have changed

Love the intro! Good work dad and mom with the daughters and their upbringing!
That macdon 61 footer is awesome. Love that they are building it.
Great content. Beautiful country. Good folks. Oh yeah.

Oh I don't doubt that, yeah only the very south end of the province on irrigation does combine corn, all small grains for most of the province
Newholand is one hell of a machine great for seed beans and recommend by many seed companies when harvesting seed beans👍
Wow, 61’ header, that is impressive. Great video. That stinks about the hail to your crop. God bless.

Cool video thanks for showing the grain mill
Great job Tony.

Thanks for posting a video! Love Montana
Tonight when you're sleeping you're going to have yellow combine dreams
My Dad had a John Deere 12A pull type combine with a 66 inch cut 😂
Cool video!
About time another manufacturer came out with a 60 ft heade, we've had the Midwest fabrication 60ft durus for 8 years in Australia
Honeybee from Canada make 60 footers and have shipped some to Auz.
@John-nc4bl but Midwest are not flex drapers
@@darrylpaulhus3069 I did not know that.
Great video you guys really appreciate it. You’ve got a lot of work ahead of you and you’ve got a lot of work behind you keep on keeping on thank you.
Good job guys
Crazy weather this year we just had two huge field fires start today in eastern Nebraska
Tony, i see you and Tim, ❤ Nuts
Nice to see you got to run a newer combine. To bad they not bring outt the AF 11 you maybe love that one. Thx Tony see you in next one

God bless you 😮😮😮😮
Never saw a spreader shoot straight out of the sides like that. Bet it’s fun to demo different machines.
I'll have to subscribe a 2nd time if you start running more new holland equipment 😂
This big girl means business.

Just like the new 700+ hp tractors, the new 10 series combines are better suited for big acker fields but hard to pay for.
My first combine was a Case A6 with a Wisconsin V4 motor. 6 Foot cut.
Every one has stories about the Wisconsin motor 😂
Set your implement width to 12in, then cart will always be within 6in of a guidance line and no nudge or remark needed!

I know of some really nasty hills you can test it out on.
Tony, I'd like to see you get a 61 foot MacDon head for one of your combines as it should work great.
Great Vid. Nice head. Mushroom Head it's huge.
Is there a primary fuel pump before injection pump? Of course, you will have this fixed by now!!
How far are you from Kates Ag . They prefer to swath . is it just a preference thing .
MoreFastAg!
can you do a pump and injector check on your dads combine had a farm i watch combine start that crud and found the pump a tad weak and dirty injectors
The iveco motor shells out fuel pressure pumps. Ours was under warrantied as the manufacturer is required to warranty fuel and emissions systems for 10 years
so is that the new massage seat in action throwing people up and down i'm not getting one

Design. Pretty cool!
I think the Af11 and cr11 are the same combine with the difference is each manufacturer sticks their cab on it and paint
Yes right on
How did you come by demoing the NH Combine?
that new holland also does some fancy stuff with the TABLE don't it so when you are on the hills and inclines it angles somethingsomehow and well, ;) yea... did you notice any of that in your hilly stuff??
They call it lateral tilt but it's not automatic. You have a button on the stick to operate it
@@terrymertz1923 I hope TONY knew about it when testing the monster on the hilly stuff!! :)

👍
I hope the lady bugs get the grasshopper larva
the only thing I like about the NH over IH is the waste dispersal is finer and spread over more area. 61" head is impressive...hey windmill
The reason that head rest is there, is because there’s a camera on the monitor for the grain tank….no?
DOT doesn’t allow cracked driver’s windshield.. they would red tag your truck on the spot..
Wrong.
The gravel spot brake would be annoying to look through

Started with A Massey 510 And finished with Massey 850 this year we sold out
Did dad get to run the new combine or try it out? What’s his opinion?😮

it would be the VIBERATIONS you FEEL after turning on the rotor and it spins up...
I hope the venders Will be forced to open their software as some have become to greedy … one subscription after the other…
There is canola oil shortage in Europe due to the war in Ukraine and you making fuel out it. 🙄
