You don't see many of those Micra's in my neck of the wood. I share my life between Denmark and Norway. Both are loving using salt in the winter, so cars rust like H.

Lots of aluminium under the bonnet and it's difficult to get it to like right without stripping it down and blasting it. WD40 does help to freshen it up. Anything new in aluminium that I put on my car I give it a coating of Waxoyl to help preserve it. What a great little starter, the car looks transformed now with the plates on and paint done.

Great progress, liked the engine bay tidy up. Wish you would put the positive battery terminal cover back on! Good luck with the MOT, it will fly through.
Haha if you looked closely I had it on charge 🥰 . Don't worry, cover went back on properly after 👍🏻🙂
Nice work - a word to the wise - from my experience I always cover the alternator, crank pulley, water pump etc. any external bearings when using any cleaning agents in the engine bay to prevent the bearings getting washed out - the seals do work but sometimes particularly when using 'traffic film remover' its so good at penetrating it can cause problems. Rest of the engine go for it as you did give it sum WD40 lube after. Nice car. I remember the fist generation MK1 models were very sought after back in the 90s on the second hand market - thems were 'good sellers'
