China's Asian Games Village (Why are Athletes Eating in an Elementary School?)

- I went to Hangzhou, host of the 19th Asian Games, to take a look at this year's Asian Games Village, said to be the Best Village Ever, not just in Asian Games history, but also Olympic history.
However, athletes who live in the main athletes' village at this year's Asian Games will eat all their meals in an elementary school! What's going on? Isn't this supposed to be the Best Athletes' Village Ever? Find out the truth in this video. Plus, I'll take you on a tour of the biggest venue built especially for the Asian Games, which is due to host the Asian Games Opening Ceremony.

im guessing millions of drones! i do love the history and dance numbers they do as well as the martial arts displays..... i loved the recent well i say recent cant remember when it was now... but there was a chinese ballet thing modern dance thing that went viral... cant remember the name of the thing...... a chinese painting come to life or something and the main dancer was gorgeous!!! and the choreography bought me to tears it was that good and it had a story and narrative!

Beautiful China and the people
The houses in this place have been sold out. When the sales started, the price was limited to 47,000 yuan per square meter, and about 40,000 people rushed to buy the quota. Now the value of the house has increased a lot. When the Asian Games is over, the house will be renovated and returned to the owner.
They got a nice deal. The village is in a great location.

Toward the end, the nighttime view of Hangzhou and the Big Lotus Stadium are spectacular! If that much effort has been put into the MMC, I'm sure the athlete's village is amazing, too!

I was in Hangzhou some 10 years ago, one of the must visit city of China, beautiful garden next to the misty West Lake. Sumptuous cuisines like the spice salt infused Nanjing Duck, and west lake fish.

That stadium looks damn good. But it was a bit different planned at the start I guess (for the Hangzhou FC).
Because China already have massive experience to manage big sporting events professionally , from Olympics , Youth Olympics , Universiade , Asian Games , Asian Youth Games , Asian Winter Games , Asian Beach Games , So I don’t need to worried so heavily

I lived in Asian Games City/Village in Panyu, Guangzhou. It was built for the 2010 games. The area was nice, but kinda boring and out of town, Haibang station was 40 minutes away from Guangzhou downtown.
This village is very close to the centre of Hangzhou

I can clearly see the frustration and anxiety that westerners have when they see development in China .European cities even American can't match the pace and development that China has done .Europe who felt proud and arrogant before the turn of century looks puny and humiliated especially UK who are still hung in their colonial hangover .China is an inspiration for every country that they should just focus on themselves without adhering to democratic colonialism

Anything wrong with eating in a elementary school. Guests must not be choicest.
It was tongue-in-cheek comment. What he actually means is the Dining Hall will be converted to a primary school after the Games. This means buildings built for the Games do not become useless and redundant. Other buildings were repurposed for the Games and will be returned to their original use after the Games. The athletes’ apartments are actually already bought by Chinese residents and again will be returned to them after the Games. All these measures help to avoid “white elephants” and building left useless which is what happens in other countries holding such massive sporting events. Way to go, China.
