Hi Sir At 17:35, we use the formula derived earlier to find the probability of the people who have survived. While I understood the formula derived earlier, it is difficult for me to understand conceptually or intuitively that why we raise (0.7)^9, why the probability decreases as we can check the probability for all the people at the same time. Why does the probability not remain the same? If you could please explain the concept, that would be a great help. Thanks
If there's a 70% chance that a person is infected, The event that you select two people & both are infected is obviously less likely, right? Because now you have three unfavorable outcomes, only person 1 infected, only person 2 infected, and neither infected. And only one favourable outcome, ie both infected. Let's talk over whatsapp/ call & have a more detailed conversation on this.
For an average student giving 3+ hours a day, I'd say about 75 days. I know people who have done it in much less as well, but with the above specified time, and a systemic preparation, you can be assured to grasp the concepts well & consequently perform well in exams.
