It almost made me cry right here... I remember being 15 years old and going to school in Rio de Janeiro, sweating in a bus in those hottest days, listening to "Chest Pain Waltz", and I couldn't believe in how you could pick those notes and create the mood that exists in this song in particular (and the whole "Organic" album, I'd say). "Organic" was one of the most important soundtracks in my life, and this song touches my heart in a very specific place. I cannot describe how it made me feel - I can only thank you for creating this piece of art and sharing it with us. IA, you're the best.
I can have the worst fucking day ever and MIE can cure that. It's hard to play guitar right now and you can still push through that good sir...... thank you....
OMG. Zappa blew me away some years ago. Mattias, i can't speak sweden but i would like to tell you : you are a PURE descendance of his musicality, humor and "Wow effect". Thank you
Damn this song was in wishlist to Crack back then 12 years still am unable to crack and seeing this literally playing from Master itself is surreal... thank you again..I have high request for that solo part as well...
Your sound is so original, freaky, and ballsy. Never heard anything like it. It's like magic. I've been a fan for years and you're by far the most underrated amazing musician I've ever discovered. I hope there is a new FK album in the near future too. Greetings from Turkey.
Hey Mattias! I've been listening to some of your Freak Guitar stuff and I was wondering how you did the phone ringing noises in stuff like Special Agent Bauer or your guest solo on Bumblefoot's Don Pardo Pimpwagon. Do you have any videos where you show it or even just play it in passing? if not would you mind making one?
I believe the phone noises in Ron's tune was a cheap toy (also used in Heroin Breakfast with Freak Kitchen). It is retired somewhere in the Freak Audio Lab. I am not sure if actually was arrogant enough to steal tye actual 24 ring tone in the Bauer tune (overdubbed with guitar) but... I think I was. 🤭
That was great. I would love to see an interview with you and Rick Beato.
Yes 👍
This is a must!👍
