- Asking Alexandria have just released their new single 'Alone Again', taken from their upcoming new album 'See What's On The Inside'. Ben Bruce and Danny Worsnop joined us for a chat over Zoom about writing the single, their new recording process and why they chose that album title.

Listening to Danny these days, its so wild hearing his English accent is like fully gone
He's been in America for a long time.. move to the south for a few years, you'll start to grow an accent
I'm happy they got their original formula back and actually had everyone in the studio together again. Its crazy to think they haven't done that in over 10 years. You can defenitely hear it in the new single. Stoked for the future and what they have in store for us.
Ben really is the driving force behind this band
Im a huge fan of Danny but since The black album we all saw that Ben is the most necessary member of them,you can just hear his passion to his work.
@@Yahavogdan almost seems like Danny left them thinking they couldn't do it without him and got proved wrong. I'd put the black somewhere in my top 3 asking Alexandria albums. That was a banger.
@@SilkandScrooge Totally,and I also think that Ben still have the metalcore in him but he is holding back.
@@Yahavogdan I remember Ben said in a interview during the black he wrote Danny the album he wanted which was softer then Danny left. I feel like the self titled album and house on fire was that album he was talking about.
Alone again was very interesting to me because it left me with alot of questions. Like obviously Ben has always been a great songwriter. Has he always been able to shred or did he just get to that level. Up until now we got small little leads here and there but never a full on solo except for when they covered Skid Row, which doesn't count to me. Has he been holding back or has he been working on those skills. I really wonder. I think it built up to this. The vocals are the only thing that didn't fit for me but I still loved the song. Something about Danny's approach to the vocals in verses give me that country rap vibe. I'm fine with him not screaming but he needs to find a new flow.
Heck yes. I can tell this is the first time in 10 years, that Asking were in the studio together. The last couple of Albums really felt disconnected.. Altho I enjoyed the last one. This song 'Alone again' is really connected and I think they connected with a lot of us old fans with this new single. They look amazing btw. The hair cuts and the outfits..
It really shows how much Ben cares about this more than the others, not to say they don’t they absolutely do. But Ben talking about everything and how much he writes, being there since he started the original band in Dubai almost 20 years ago, he truely is the primary driving force keeping these guys moving, pushing them further. My single favourite group since stand up and scream came out on my birthday

just by hearing their first song you could tell a difference. and that acually might be that they acually hanged out together. i am SUPER Stoked to hear the rest of the album and i would love it even more to hear danny rawr abit like he did in Into The Fire.
The riffs and and everything is amazing in Alone Again. been repeating that song now 10 times a day. its a banger.

I had no idea being in a "big" band was like that, you guys getting together again has really helped the sound, maybe your Lesson Learned here is to tell the micro managers to ease off, because it's doing wonders for the band, i started following after i left college in 2011

Never been a listener of asking but since they released alone in a room i became a little bit of a fan and i cant wait to hear the new album, i find kinda funny how alone again sounds like a part 2 of alone in a room

@@nickdotjpg it’s not grabbing me as much but it might grow on me i like the aesthetic also Danny has a great singing voice but I just wish there was more variety in the album Like A House On Fire everyone seemed to hate that album but I thought it had some interesting variety in it and the electronic elements were kinda interesting this album lacks the variety I think

Ngl I way preferred new AA over CTE. Courtney was good but the rest was just a bit meh imo. Seems like CTE were just jumping on the bandwagon of bands going heavy again. It’s not bad just not awesome. Idk new AA just hit different. After being quite indifferent to a lot of LAHOF, it’s so cool to hear them going into a more rock direction with maybe some screams on the album (hopefully haha, even tho I’m not bothered if the full album sounds like Alone Again) plus the guitar solo was amazing, really reminded me of A7X. Glad you liked CTE tho, it’s best when we all have different opinions haha 🤘
