Nice review. Your detail description of the niro will help many people to choose the hev. Now in Korea it is no more options to buy an efficient hev after a hyundai abandons to make the IONIQ. The scene at 2:42 looks like a professoinal CF.
Ya it's very nice and kind of rare to see these in some parts of Canada. I have the hybrid Touring and love all of the features plus amazing fuel savings. It would have been even better on fuel by keeping with the EX or lower trim, and going with a PHEV. Now I think that my next car or SUV must be a PHEV, especially since in the next 5 or more years our fuel taxes will probably skyrocket.
I just bought a used 2021 Niro PHEV SX Touring in Canada and love this car. All the options I wanted and not the ones I did not want (pano-sunroof). Perfect car for my needs.
Stupid me. I had no idea that the owner could've turned it off. Ouch! *Please subscribe, like and have notifications on for fast and precise reviews on newly released Genesis, Hyundai and Kia! 🙏
We bought one, I think the top package. Great car, but in my opinion it's too busy, and what I mean by that is it acts like a babysitter, always something beeping at me about something, so I think I'll need to turn off some of the assist options. I would have preferred a more base model to save money, as the higher end options are just not all that impressive. We got it for the gas mileage though and in that regard, it really is pretty impressive.
Back when I was taking this vid, I didn't have much experience with cars like Niro. Looking back, it still is one of the best cars in the segment, I'd say! :)
Thanks for watching! This is one of my early videos where there is a plenty of room to improve upon, and the sound is definitely one of them. Thanks for finding my video despite the shortcoming!
yeah and it's not because the PHEV has a charging box at the front on the driver side (at least in left trafficked countries), also it does not have memory seats for some reason :< but it's still great :)
He also went on a bit too long about not being able to conveniently mount his phone. That point was driven home in the first few comments about it, and did not need the long story after. A few other details were not needed and could have used that time to explain other stuff. Still, I agree that it was a "reasonable" review.
@@BoomerGer007 not 100% sure but a spare tire takes up a lot of space and costs a bit extra of course, in a pure EV or pure fossil fule vehicle I think there is more space left in the boot also, in a PHEV you have both a large fossil engine and batteries taking up a lot of space. So if they put in a spare tire you need to pay a bit extra for the car + less boot space. However KIA offers one of the best (if not THE best?) warranty on the market for new vehicles, 7 years warranty (at least in Sweden)! We got a screw in our tire after 2 weeks of owning the car, we called the Kia emergency pick up service and they came out within 24h (to a fairly remote location) and picked up the car and then the day after we could pick up the car at the repair shop with the tire repaired, we payed 50 EUR for the tire repairment, quite reasonable, paid nothing for the pick up service (within the 7 year new car warranty). Many modern cars that come with a spare tire aren't "real" tires also, they are only for emergencies to be able to go to the repair shop anyway, if you ruin more than 1 tire it doesn't help either.
@@OZZl3 That sounds like so much Bravo Sierra! I was once forced into a curb and blew a hole in the side of the tire big enough to stick a finger into. If I had not had a space saver spare, I could not have changed the tire to proceed on home. I am aware of space savers not being able to run higher speeds so I was careful. On another car, I knew I was going on vacation and be in the middle of nowhere at times, so I replaced the space saver with a regular tire, even thought it took more space, and I am glad I did, as I was in the middle of the New Mexico desert no where near a city and blew a tire and was fortunate enough to have a better tire to continue on with.

Thank you for the insight and compliment 🙏

죄송합니다. 전 영알못이었습니다.
Great review... Just ordered mine today can’t wait 💃🏽
Thanks, enjoy your Niro!
Hi, How's your experience with your Kia Niro ? I'm looking one for my Uber activity job
Does the car still work?

Yeah that very last sentence! Hyundai will flood the market with EV cars starting this year with the EGMP platform. Can't wait!
Is it an all wheel drive?
We bought a 2021 Kia Niro PHEV SX Touring, So far very nice car.
Great choice 👍

I like the look of the Kona, but now I like the look of the Niro as well. Kia and Hyundai sure make it difficult to chose. 😳
We will soon be seeing a newer Niro. Can't wait!
The Executive trim comes with ambient light. You can activate it in the menu.
Stupid me. I had no idea that the owner could've turned it off. Ouch!

2021 lxs comes with that feature..
Wow. Thank you from Texas. 50mpg? I want one.
Thanks for watching! This is one of my early vids, and I see a lot of room to improve upon.

Right, the mpg on this is just nuts. Think this is the top notch hybrid car IMO
The top model is actually heavier and therefore less efficient...
I love this car!
Glad you like it :) This car's been truly an amazing car, giving brith to the 2nd generation Niro we just got!
Does the car still work?
That red light u said was in the dash it actually from you camera lmao
Haha this video is one of my earliest videos, I should've known better!
just run across the video. Is it convenient for being uber driver?
Think it'd be one of the best as a Uber car! Spacious, practical, great mpg.
Have you got one for your Uber job ?
I didn't get the thing He said about led light in hatch. Own a 19 niro touring in Canada and love it, don't care about not having auto closing hatch.
Back when I was taking this vid, I didn't have much experience with cars like Niro. Looking back, it still is one of the best cars in the segment, I'd say! :)

Good review but the sound was iffy at times

Reasonable review of a Niro Hybrid BUT your title says this review is for a Niro Plug-In Hybrid, ie PHEV.

And can you explain WHY there is no spare tire???

But you didn’t even fold the back seats down to show it’s more like an SUV
That's included in the upcoming video, making a comparison of old vs. new Niro.
Are you wearing a mask while driving alone? Lol. I don't trust your judgment.
nice
Thx!!
Dude, take off the mask. You are in a car all by yourself.
Got ya!
Well the mask is important to protect the viewers you know...
Oh so he can get his germs all over another person's car. Smart. I'll bet you're an American.
