- Columbus Texas 2020 is a great small town that is
a place that all the Thousand Trails Members love
to spend a few weeks near. From big restaurants
like Schoebels to the drive in; Dairy Cone there
are some great options. You can kayak on the
Colorado River, horse ride through town or ride
your scooter around Midtown Park.

That Almond crusted fish was so good I will never forget it. We will go back there some day.
My son and I traveled to Colombus last year. My greatgreatgrandfather, John Hope, lived there (1840-). There were many gunfights and feuds. At the Opera house you can get a book that tells of them. I found out that my direct line were lawmen there and involved in the shootings. Hard to believe in such a beautiful place.
That is an interesting story. I'd like to go back there and read about this history

We were just in Columbus, TX. We stayed at Colorado River TT. So many deer. Loved the Live Oaks that grew in the middle of the street. Or should I say, they built the street around the trees. We saw the Dairy Cone. We didn’t stop though cause Scout can’t have it anymore. 😂😂. After hearing about the Po’ Boys I wish we’d stopped.
I may need to go back and try those Po'boys. Thanks for watching our video.

What a very charming little town! We'd never heard of it before but we are not familiar with that part of Texas. The girls seems to have fun no matter where they are! Excellent video!!
We have always had a hobby of finding small towns and city parks and letting our girls play, we just recently started adding that to our YT channel. I enjoy small towns more than big cities.

Oh that little race track is awesome. The little girl running with the horses made me smile. That ice cream is amazing. Ok when she said can I eat it now aaaahaha. I was so picturing you saying don't eat it until I get it on video LOL. Sounds like a nice full menu for a little drive in type place. Places like that usually have pretty good food. I would have had to get a burger.
Those guys on the horses rode in and circled the park and took off. That really made it for me. The cheeseburger looked great, I wasn't impressed by the fancy burrito.

Its so cool that you guys got to meet up with Scott and Allison! They are awesome folks. We were staying at that Thousand Trails when we met up with you guys at the rest are. That is our favorite Thousand Trails park in Texas! Columbus has some great history, including some that stemmed from the battle at the Alamo! That cheeseburger looked good! ~ Tim, Gracie, and Krystal
I remember, I was telling the girls, "look, there is the rest area where Tim and Grace and Krystal gave you some gifts." I wanted to stop in the small HEB and small Walmart, but didn't have time.

We love finding small towns and letting the kiddos play at the park. It's been a past time of ours for years. We are glad we can share this with others now.

Salt is sooooo good, but I really feel it afterwards. I rue the day when the doctor tells me I have to cut back. The girls really wanted to make a TH-cam channel so they have been 100% on board for all of your this.

Yes, I have a few gimbals. I was using the DJI Osmo 3 at the park with my phone, but the courthouse and the ice cream shop I had a Canon EOS RP on the Ronin SC2. I'm becoming a real camera geek, I love it.

I know Jarhead and Ginger's Journey. I know those girls too! William stayed at the thousand trails. We skipped Columbus, in Fayetteville now. But do they have burgers? Thanks, This was fun!
I'm sure someone sells burgers in Fayetteville. I haven't been there yet, found it on the map, will explore someday.
We are also full time RVers. We are headed rosewater Texas now. Might have to check out Columbus, TX. Where are you off to next. We are in Oklahoma city and our plan is to head south until we hit Salt water. Then decide if we turn left or right.
We aren't full timers. We are seriously considering it. Right now we spend a lot of weekends in our RV. We live near San Antonio and venture out from there often.
It is probably nice living in Texas where you can camp all year long. We are heading south for the winter to enjoy the warmer weather.
