- A getaway from the city during the lockdown, sightseeing Columbus, Texas.
Columbus is the largest city of Colorado County in southeastern Texas, United States, 74 miles west of Houston with 2020 population of 3,688. Columbus was established by European Americans in 1837 after Texas achieved independence from Mexico.After the population returned following warfare, residents renamed Beason's Crossing "Columbus" in honor of residents who migrated from Columbus, Ohio. Some historic buildings in this video include Colorado County Courthouse and Confederate Memorial Museum.

I love the authentic nature of this town, it looks like it's remained the same for decades! I love how much of the architecture has survived for over a century! It must be such a fascinating place to spend the day! Great job as always 👏🏻

Hi Jamahl, They say you can never go home again but Columbus is one of those quaint little towns that retains its memories and charm because unlike the bigger towns it pretty much remains the same and that's great.

We went out yesterday for the day on a trip to the ocean shores about an hour drive away from the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The first time that we have left the city in almost three months.
