My god, this song was such a pleasant, beautiful surprise. For an album that was so intensely personal, with songs taking from Ed's own experiences, I didn't expect it to end on what felt like a perfect contemporary version of an old Irish folk song. The vocals on this are just buttery smooth, and punch so much emotion into the song. It makes me want a folk song album from Ed in the future, because he really nails this old fashioned style of singing and lyricism. Give his acoustic background, it's no surprise.
Only true fans have waited for this song for years. This was supposed to be on multiply. This song hits home. This is the Ed I remember.

This entire album is so emotional and relatable, and kept me right on the verge of tearing up and crying, with that heavy feeling in the throat.
Then came this song. So pure. So fresh and clean. That perfect one bar silence between the chorus and the instrumental part. That did it for me.
