Sometimes, Kontakt player can get hung up on a note. It sounds like a key is being held down or a sustain pedal is stuck, but it's actually a problem of the note getting stuck in Kontakt itself. Here's how you fix it.

By dumb luck of fucking around with a lot of settings, I found a fix so its stops happening over and over again. I've browsed a dozen forum posts for the fix but I'm here and laready logged in so I'll share:
In Kontakt, go to the Output settings of your instruments (toward the bottom-right of the gear icon, under the preset name). Create a seperate output channel for it by clickng "Create seperate Master Output Channel". I'm using Ableton, and after you change that it fixes the glitch, for whatever reason. After pause, no. morehanging notes.
Fair warning, if you do this it might change any fancy routing in kotakt. Not many people do, so I think this is a solid fix.
But also, the ! panic button thing helped too while I was figuring it out, so thank you!
Woah! verrry interesting (and random lol) I need to test this ASAP. I actually do use fancy routing quite a bit with drums, but thankfully not with synths/non-drummer instruments (which thankfully is the only time I'm experiencing this issue). Thanks so much for sharing!
March 2024. It started happening to me today after I’ve had this new m32 for a few months.. honestly really annoyed with NI
Yeah, it still happens to me, too. Haven't found a full preventative fix even after trying other ideas from the comments here or other videos. This temporary fix is still my go-to

Try turning on Recording > Low Latency Mode in Logic. and then try increasing your Buffer Size setting in logic pro x

@@greedsparta4443 yeah, it's actually been doing that for me on a couple instruments in particular, mostly when i have arpeggiator on. I think i need to find another fix, or maybe it's a bug. My quick additional deep dive was saying something about using MIDI filters, but I really hope that's not the only solution cuz that's just annoying lol
