Over the last few episodes we can see that (and I emphasize it) *for Baradul* combat log just doesn't work.
Agreed. As soon as Vizsla started bleeding I was just waiting for the eject.
I get it, he is used to the floaties. I personally like the combat log, but to each their own. I wouldn't even be mad if he switched back.
Even as a viewer I feel important information gets obscured by the combat log e.g., status changes pushed off by damage spam. Also on a larger screen it's marginally annoying to keep glancing at the top corner for info. Much prefer the floaties.
Is it not possible to have both?
I wish the modders would make is so that the import stuff in the log would be bottom-most entry. I'd appreciate it if instead of giving me 30 lines when I get hit by 30 missiles, that I would get just a summary line.
As a general rule, please take unique mechs when you have a chance… I would have loved to see you run the Rabid Coyote through its paces. Very curious about that one.
I think Bara's hitting the death spiral for the early career - get parts, spend a bunch of time getting a mech upgraded, barely make the financial report, then watch that mech get blown up in the next mission, and the cycle repeats itself. I honestly think that the planet Bara is on is too high a difficulty level for his small starting squad.

Change log to folaties. If we want details, we just can scroll back the video. For you it seems essential.
I quit using the combat log a while back. It was like fighting blind. I use the regular popups and can see more of whats going on with the opfor and my units at a glance.
Really wanted to see what was on that black lanner to make it so deadly

Also, Bara should enable the new mod quick selling feature. Makes it so easy to rid of those bad mech parts. In the game: Escape -> Settings -> Mod Settings -> Improved Sell UI (or something like that) -> make sure that is enabled. No restart required. Just easy selling of junk mech parts.
That was a bit rougher than I expected. I suppose some random things can happen, but I'm not sure the reward was worth the potential loss on this one. Keep up the great job, the series is entertaining as always.

honestly Baradul, floaties. a few streams ago it cost you dearly.
But *how*? Again, I don't exactly care, just don't get it. How does not having floaties enabled cost you? If the camera is off doing its usual thing, you miss everything. With log, you can at least, maybe, scroll up to find out.
@@FunkThompson I haven't played Battletech for a while but IIRC all messages are added to the combat log even if it's not shown. That means if you use floaties and "the camera is off doing its usual thing" you still can find the messages you missed in the combat log, otherwise floaties are more noticeable because they appear near the source of the information (i.e. unit that got hit or got its turn with pilot bleeding out).
@@ALivingDinosaur You can't have both. There are no floaties with log, and no log with floaties... so no.

I dont know if it works in Roguetech, but in BTA you can map paths with shift. Might help your uav shenanigans ❤
I honestly thing the Bluejay UAV is the best, you can buy them relatively cheap, it has a Tag on top of the ping and a Tumper shell to use as a bomb and has C3 capabilities for the late game.
I don't know. Maybe I'm a cheapskate but 50,000 c-bills every mission to deploy a consumable (plus storage fees if you keep a bunch of them in storage)... that's probably pocket change late game but I'm not sure I want it at the light-and-medium-mechs stage.
@@GoodEggGuy Yes, in the early game you definitely feel the Cbills but the bluejay is around 30k, and a good-placed thumper shell can easily de-stabilize an enemy, on top of just not moving or moving the minimum distance to attract fire.

I've actually been super glad that I switched away from the floaties to the combat log, because the floaties are prone to not giving you the chance to see them at all or having them flash past too quickly to read. If you get multiple hostile turns in a row, if the cinematic camera doesn't like you, even if there's just too many floaties all at once. Since you can't scroll back up with the floaties, if you miss information it's just gone. And for some key info like the bleedout timers there's no other way to check it. Absolutely terrible.
What I would really like is if it could default to floaties if the combat log isn't open, but still have opening the combat log as an option so you can go back over things at will.
Just hover over injury marker on mech , that gives all relevant info on injuries, panic levels, and bleed outs.
@@keebbles Helpful, thanks. I'll look for that, hopefully it's easier to find than the ECM readout thing that the loading screen tips keep telling me about. But it only solves one symptom of a much larger problem with the floaties, and only partway at that.
Hail Baradur, What is your ideal lance? Have you played this game with a Lament or faced him(I really love that mech in desing)? And another question: how would you use Warhammer?

Has anyone noticed if Bara-dude is using the individual mech pilot special abilities ? Or are they "on" in the background? Or do you have to toggle them on? Just wondering

Noooo Combat log is better (too bad the system doesn't allow for both)
in a situation like this I'll go melee. no hit chance is no hit chance. plus I like to knock mechs around
The Rabid Coyote is a pretty good mech, but I hate the aesthetic.
I stripped the two I got , both pirate versions.
Put it all in a crusader (P). Made it a melee beast.
It could do all the melee types.
Lost it three missions later to an Ostroch stackpole I cored in a one shot.
Got most of the parts back since explosion seemed to only hit my upper torso and vaporized my head and CT.
More pissed I lost the pilot. Was a backer/mod pilot with the melee perks and bonuses.
Ouch - tough job, but you did it... How about some tank support..??
how about we just try to find a way to get both floaties and the log?

Hi Baradul, hast Du Kontakt zu den Roguetech Moddern? Ich habe mit Comander die LAM Academy besucht und zum Ende kann ich einen LAM kaufen für 5 Mio oder No Thanks wählen. Leider sind beide Optionen in roter Farbe und kann nichts auswählen und das Spiel hängt dann in dem Fenster. Da 150 Tage die Academy dauert, müsste ich diverse Missionen zurück. Wäre nett wenn Du den Fehler irgendwie melden könntest bzw. mach Du die Academy nicht 🙂
Tree how very German of you, I know how hard it is because I am Danish, but it is three, one two three, its hard but it is possible to do if you practice, had to do it myself so I know the pain.
