Nice demonstration of the color management.
I have a fixed editting sequence in RAWtherapee which works very well and has some logic in it I use the favorites to basically order my workstream
1.) Lenscorrection , I start with this because if I would do this after cropping the lenscorrection might change the frame a bit, it also gets rid of vingneting and some lenserrors
    2.) Setting white balance
3.) Use the exposure tab, but I only set the exposure compensation to about just when it starts clipping the highlights, and I use the black slider until just before it starts clipping the shadows. Before I do that I also set the display to black and white (not converting to black and white) so I can see the effect on the contrast. I never use any other slider.
4.) using the shadows/highlight tab I try to bring back details out of the shadows and highlights, especially the tonal with slider has a big influence on how this happens.
5.) With the local contrast I bring out more details, this somehow also gives the picture a feeling of extra sharpness
6.) I turn on the colors again and see if there is any haze in the picture, if so and I want to remove it I use the haze removal, though it tends to also shift the colors a bit, so I am very carefull with that.
7.) I optimize the colors, sometimes the colors need a boost (so I have at the moments the vibrance tab in my favorites).
8.) Nose reduction, now the exposure and colors are set I can see what all of this did to the noise in the picture and I will try to remove it. This sometimes means a loss of sharpness and details
    9) sharpen, I try to regain some sharpness los after noise reduction
    11) if I want to I convert to black and white here
    12) crop
    13) if needed I would add a vingnet here...but I hardly use vignetting.
The next thing I want to implement in my workstream is the local editing but until know I found it somewhat hard to use.

@@MrGirbes That's a great approach. I especially like the idea of lens correction at the front end to help with cropping. I'd like to do a more in depth video on selective editing to explore it's uses and limitations. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

@@FOSSedits I will look for the selective editting video should be interesting.
