  • I can't believe I'm finally able to hold a Quartzo 1:18 Fw15 driven by Alain Prost. These cars go now for £150, was lucky to get 2 for £100 and managed to cash out on the other one. Basically got it for free after the sale.
On the other hand, there is the Minichamps version of the FW15, also a good scale model, but Quartzo takes the cake here.

Quartzo model is really good, by far the best I've seen. Hard to find good models of the FW14/14B/15C, normally would go Minichamps but their 1/18 and 1/43 versions are really old and have problems. Probably some of the oldest models Minichamps still makes along with their 92-94 Benettons.
I ended up buying the Panini 1/43 FW14B and FW15C, seems to be the newest version and possibly best detailed. Does need minor surgery because the wheel track is too wide but apart from that they are better shaped than the Minichamps versions and also much cheaper.
Strange because Minichamps released an all new 1/43 FW16B which has really nice detail compared to the older FW16 model but no sign of updates to the more popular Camel livery FW14B and FW15C models. And that's even though the old FW16 and FW16B models are not bad anyway.
