This is a very cool way to have something that looks custom without having to be custom built for your specific vehicle. The amp rack is an excellent feature and I imagine they sound great!
Awesome to see an 8 inch added to the lineup but take away the 15? I seriously hope alpine comes back big with a 15. My system is over ten years old and all still working great. Glide touch deck, 3 sets of type r components powered by a mrp f 345 and 545 digital amps. 4 tens and a 15 powered by three skar 2000/1 Ds. ( alpine mono amps didn’t have enough umph. I don’t compete or anything but I do demonstrate it and everyone loves the clarity and overall loudness. I’ve made a lot of people appreciate what aftermarket sound systems could be like if set up right that absolutely hated loud stereos. Play them their favorite song and watch their expressions feeling the song and light up like their are at a concert. It’s priceless!!!
Hope they come out with at least a 10" version 🤞 and to be hopeful a 12" version too ... I understand with the bigger subs then would have to sacrifice the ports
looking to do a full system upgrade in my 2020 1500 w/ the alpine stock system.... just noticed you guys dont make a replacement/upgraded center speaker what's up with that??? Looking at the Alpine R2-DB8V-TRK for under the back seat, Alpine R-S69.2 in back doors, Alpine S-S65C in the front doors with the tweeters in the dash conners, but center channel...got nothing....
In the Late 90’s I Paid $200.00 Each for some Alpine Tweeter’s.. Man they Were Crispy.!!! They Sound Great.. I hated Paying that Much’ but they Never Blew.! You New they were There.. by there Sound’ not just looks.😄
These are still fairly new so haven't seen one in a Santa Cruz yet but it just varies vehicle to vehicle. Check out th-cam.com/video/0SfJImHWTl4/w-d-xo.html to see what to look out for.
That port is loaded right into the seat bracket like 2 inches in front of it lmao. Was going to pick one up for my 2020 Laramie, but not sure how it'll perform sitting like that.
@@colinvargo3418 they don't fit single cabs or mini trucks, and that's where they lose me. I have no interest in chunky SUVs with open back ends. I have interest in trucks that have less cab and more bed, actually useful as a truck not a glorified open SUV, and mini trucks, not oversized small-fullsize trucks with a comparable price tag and mpg. 🙄
@@colinvargo3418 I did. Those aren't really a shallow mount subwoofer either. They're smaller than normal type S, but they're still not shallow subs. Those also will not fit under the back seat of my 96 Ram either like this. They'd have to be front-firing only.
These aren't as much truck subs to me. The shallow mount Type-R were real truck subs, and they're gone now. They were something that you could fit behind the bench seat of a single cab without losing any slider or recline room. If you can't fit it in a box behind the seat of a single cab without sacrificing slider & recline, it's not a real truck sub. I said what I said.
@@AlpineTV W7's with C3-650's for mids and highs in my truck and W3's and C3-650 in all four doors of my car and yes a DSP on both systems, I hardly think I'm missing out. Lmfao, haters gonna hate
It should fit in any crew cab truck with a relatively flat floor under the rear bench seat. The only trucks that have issues are typically the models that have the raised transmission hump down the center of the floor. With the mounting feet it can fit over some of them just varies a lot by model.
6:52 is the most important part of the video. Salute

I have the R series in my Jeep Gladiator. For 8” subs these things put out some ridiculous bass!
Hi would it fit in a 5th gen Ram quad cab?
Very nice fit and finish!
Definitely nice
Nice👍 but do you have any 12" inch box for shallow woodfers ?
@AlpineTV Yall Have to Bring The 15in Subwoofers Back That Would Be The Best
any plans for a box that can fit into a Toyota Tacoma?
the bob ross of speakers
Came here for the fro and not disappointed
Alpine amps are so appealing it's a shame to not see the amp
Also need to offer 10 and 12" sizes
You had an afro in the thumbnail🤣great product👍

36hz is low enough for most
Any chance you have any GM zero space subs in a warehouse somewhere?
Alpine has always put out the top quality and not destroyed the wallet
Will these work in a 2022 F-250 superduty crew cab.
2 8's is all you need
Can this box stand / mount behind a single cab truck and the speakers could just fire against the seat ?
Fat part of Wedge at the bottom ??

Do you have this with a pair of R 10s.. and tuned at 32 hz would be nice
These are only available in the Dual 8" configuartions at this time.
Does this setup block the ram bins in a crew cab 1500?
The vehicle in the video has the RAM bins and they are still accessible with the subwoofer in place.
I dident watch much of the video but i appreciate the afro in the thumbnail, that is fine advertising indeed, as god intended.
Could you put it behind the seat on a single cad ford
Bring back the 15”s …and finally make 15” Type-X
Will this fit in my 2016 double cab GMC Sierra 1500?
Does this fit in a 09 chevy silverado extended cab
I have a MRV-M500, would these be a good match, for that amplifier? Also comparable output to two 10" type S, in a sealed underseat truck box?
Sold
Did I miss it? How do you attach the enclosure to the vehicle? I would hate that box flying forward into the back of a passengers legs in a crash.
I think a person could add a couple brackets somewhere to secure it down.
It has rubber feet to give it some hold on the carpet. As far as hitting passengers in a crash that would be the least of worries. Don’t crash k
The amp is no longer available???
They are we just have updated versions. The R2-A75M and S2-A60M are the new ones.
Using a mono amp with only one output how would you connect both subs?
I know this is old but i believe you could bridge the system off the speaker terminals

I believe it should still work with the reclining seats.

We will tell you about the system but not let you hear the sound
Make something for SUV without taking up space
Subs with a fro! You get a like.
Sooo, not for single cabs I take it jajaja
you failed to say "full sized truck"
They fit mid sized trucks like the gladiator too. They’re adjustable width wise.
