Would this work on a flat bar leaver handle, but attacked from the latch side instead of from hinge? I know that there is more room on the hinge side of the door, so dose the tool even work from the latch side?

      It absolutely does :)
This method is actually fairly versatile and can attack most handle hardwares, but because it requires an extra piece which wears down over time I usually only reserve it for door knobs

I did something similar to this a long, long time ago. But I just replaced the string with a piece of bicycle inner tube. Nothing to tangle or get caught, and same basic procedure as with a lever lock type.

I had been trying to emulate the door knob setup in B&E from A to Z for a while now. While I had mixed results using a shelf-liner, I like the simplicity of your ace bandage method. I will be keeping this in mind for my next physical penetration test, as I have encountered door knobs onsite before.

Oh, in case you think the tool makes too much noise scraping against the door, cause it does, a little hard silicone on the contact point will diminish the sound quite a bit without sacrifice 'tool feel'. It was the first thing I noticed on my first door, it's rather noisy if people are in connecting offices.

How do you get the string off of the ring to move it back, it seems impossible to move

Someone should refilm all of the info and techniques in B&E A-Z so the info is still nicely compiled, but in a modern resolution with decent sound and some updates for new techniques. I don't have the skills. It would be a fun project though. I live somewhat near Deviant Ollam and it would be fun to host a multiday party/film session, bring in a few people such as yourself, and shoot all of the segments adding your additional UDT info and demos of the SEARAT and other newer tools.

That would be one hell of an undertaking, would definitely be a great resource to have though!

Hi,I have been working on a project for a UDT with a boroscope to open deadbolts.Works by twisting the handle to unlock high security deadbolts, have you any
Ideas to use UTD tool for
    deadbolts? THANKS.

There are methods for using under door tools for unlocking deadbolts. Have you watched B&E from A to Z? In their section on the under door tool they display methods for using the tool to toggle deadbolts open and closed.

@@amihirata Looks like you've fully revived the lost art of the mule tool (once named, I believe)! Nice work :-)

@@amihirata yes I have watched this outdated methed of using the UDT to open a deadbolt
I think the use of a boroscope and a modification to a UDT or a new invention would bd most helpful have you tried
To do this as deadbolts with high security cylinders or broken keys ect.would be prone to such a attack.
