Japanese anime: "Samurai cuts the Earth in half with his katana!"
Japanese movies: "Samurai uses a mop to threaten the councilman!"😂
the anime literally sells lies katanas are made for bullies and gangs of that time. lol there is no such thing as honor with those samurais.
Honestly, if you look at the physics involved in using a mop as a weapon, and the design of the mophead itself, a mop could probably seriously mess someone up if it was utilized like that.
Jesus loves ya all and He wants you to turn to Him and repent, it’s your choice if you want to or not.
@@onestopgamechannel7846 He's not entirely wrong though, a lot of Samurai were simply well trained and equipped bullies used to control the peasants. Bushido wasn't even a thing untill the 1870s after the samurai class had already been abolished.
During the 17th century they were mostly bureaucrats, this idea you got of samurai as these noble legendary warriors isn't rooted in actual history, but what you yourself want to believe about them because of the iconic armour and weapons from a very limited time period, that you think looks cool and likely movies and shows.
I seriously doubt you even know this history you're calling someone else out for not knowing.
Reality is that what a samurai was is entirely dependant on the time period and the clan, but in general they were warriors in service of a lord who did whatever they were told.
America didn't exist in the 17th Century (which is the 1600s). It was the 19th century since, America first sent their fleet into Tokyo Harbor in the 1850s. The Samurai in question is from the year 1865.
That's when I realised why he was saying 150 yrs.
He transported to Japan not America…. And the person that wrote this crap is also from Japan..😊
@leeanneyoungman8028 it could be a typo or mistranslation
@SRVfan-z2w I guess, something definitely went wrong😊
oh your assumptions are high that only amarica was travelling the world 🤣 denmark, France, spain, England, and many others were also out exploring the world and found japan long before the amaricans made things worse
Sakamoto Ryoma is a real big shot in the Bakumatsu era. He's the real "Last Samurai"
I don't know if it's your Opinion but, Saigō Takamori (or Takanaga) (西鄕 隆盛 [隆永], January 23, 1828 - September 24, 1877) was a Japanese samurai and nobleman. He was one of the most influential samurai in Japanese history and one of the three great nobles who led the Meiji Restoration. Living during the late Edo and early Meiji periods, he later led the Satsuma Rebellion against the Meiji government. Historian Ivan Morris described him as "the quintessential hero of modern Japanese history".
Title please
Sakamoto Ryoma is more a "Noble Japanese Officer who Embraces the West", so idk if that even fits the whole Samurai description now
The title last samurai was never about Tom Cruise
@@reynaldoracaza-mh3dqtitle is the title in the video “Samurai sensei” 😅
Everytime Ai slop says 17th century makes I heart hurt, the Boshin War happen in 1860s, aka 19th century.

Our protaganist smile looks so evil, reminds me of an anime character
Same
Part 2?
17th century? American influence? Japan was fast in addopting western technology (relatively speaking) but American influence really only came up in the 60s of the 19th century when Commodore Perry forced Japan into an unequal treaty, causing a short revolutionary war and subsequently they addopted "capitalism" and just like imperial russia they did so due to the realisation that it was modernise or be domminated.
It's a series version of the same name.
There's an older movie version of this on YT too.
I was wondering why this was so familiar.
@@ChickensAndGardening that recap is from mystery recapped

It's funny because the first reccomended video on my phone beneath this is about Samurai Jack.
El famoso "That guy almost got hit by a car when he appeared out of nowhere in front of it.", as said guy is standing still for many seconds but the driver sees him only a split second before he avoids him.
Between that and truck drivers, are Japanese drivers THAT bad?

Jesus loves ya all and He wants you to turn to Him and repent, it’s your choice if you want to or not.
Bakumatsu was i. The 1800s so it's the 19th century , not the 17th... that movie seems pretty awesome
the united states didnt even exist in the 17th century?? these ai voiceovers get more and more stupid
Its just a scenario, recap movie, used to introduce and explain this movie. But its really quite bad explanation cause using AI. Must better to learn more what kind of movies, background, plot and genre more spesific. And dont use alternative western name for asian actor. Just use name use in movies.
This is in late 1850s. The ai either made an error, or the recap didnt know the history. Edo period was around 1603 to 1866 where it was dissolved. In 1853, american fleet led by commodore matthew perry enter edo bay. Under the mission of the 13th american president, millard fillmore. Japan would open to trade with america or they will blow edo to smithereens.
This result in treaty of kanagawa in 1854. Where japan had to abandon its isolasionist policy, open to trade with western powers, and allow their warships to dock and resupply in japanese soil. These enraged the traditionalist samurais because they ended up have to foot the bill instead of the shogun. Triggering anti shogunate revolts across south of japan. This culminate in battle of toba fushimi where japan entered a brief period of civil war between imperialist faction and the shogunate loyalists between 1868 to 1869. The imperial faction won and start to rapidly industrialized japan. This period known as meiji restoration.
The United States didn't exist for sure but the American colonies do exist in those times. So I'll say technicalities in names.
