@@TheRogueRockhound looking forward to it, hopefully by then I be able to walk better and have a Mobility Van for Transportation due our SON and of course our wheelchairs. I did try Facebook so hopefully I sent the right comment and or message. I hope you noticed my email?
I will watch for I believe too be a third or maybe twice already. That is the thing about me, especially these Days to witness ANYONE NO MATTER WHOM IT IS THAT UPLOADS A VIDEO FOR ANYONE TO SEE. Just think about it, You’re the Hounder. You find that Creation for the first time or finding another one of same type but never the same in structure always different just like a fingerprint, so unique that there is not another one like it in the world. Now imagine me on the side lines watching and waiting with anticipation and walla I am so Blessed By THE ULTIMATE SUPREME BEING/THE CREATOR TO BE ONE OF A FEW HUNDRED/Thousand/ Maybe Million to be the first to witness you or another extract that BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS CREATION/S. That is A TRUE BLESSING FOR ME TO JUST WITNESS AND SINCE WE BECAME ROCKHOUND ENTHUSIAST AND LAPIDARY I AM TRULY BLESSED TO SEE MANY AND I MEAN MANY CREATIONS I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE IN MY LIFE. I will never ever look at a ROCK JUST AS A ROCK ANYMORE!!!
Love the shots of the desert flowers! The stones were so pretty, you certainly put the work in for them! Had a bit of a flashback at the pickaxe part…you, (maybe all of 11 yrs old) a pickaxe, and an old cement walkway…🤣🤣🤣❤️
your videos are getting better by the day! only thing I missed here was the actual finding and/or pulling the stones. those stones are actual treasures! I love red sunstones. thanks for showing some desert flora. ive never been in a desert and to see flowers there always amazes me.
Thanks Eva! I showed more of the work and the haul but not pulling them from the screens. I will remember that for the next video there and I'll keep working on my vids to make them the best I can ^^ Thanks again!
Always wanted to go back after my first try at sunstones. Was able to include this in a trip out Denio to Royal Peacock Mine for Opals. It was nice and got a cool fire piece out of it. I wanted to spend more time in Plush, Denio and get a chance at McDermott. Unfortunately never did. Good prep work on your sunstone dig. Thx for sharing as always. Peace Brother. 👍
Thanks Mike! I'm heading to Royal Peacock on the 9th for the Miner Appreciation dig and will be making a video of that as well. Have a great holiday weekend ^^
Fantastic job on this video, buddy! One of your best. Great job editing in the music to your video. Great job explaining everything, too! You did awesome with all the camera angles. Your hard work and knowledge of finding sunstones really paid off. Thats some awesome pieces you got and really cool ya got some with schiller. Really enjoyed the video. I told ya I would send some love soon. I saw someone else show thanks and it reminded me. Have a great weekend! Hope your car is runnin ok.
Do you suppose we Disabled Seniors and OUR SON who is a Tetraplegic can Rockhound that Location in Oregon? Or should we just Purchase Rough Sunstones=bit that will take the fun of digging, I can get around slowly=hehehe. Are there BLM areas we can Trek with our electric wheelchairs? We reside in Olympia Washington and my WIFEY of 49yrs were thinking about taking a drive to Oregon to Rockhound for, Sunstones, Fire Opals, Hollie Blue, & ___ Obsidians- I loves the Mahagony the most brings back memories back in Guam working with my POP in building our HOME, before he passed on in 1973. OR should we considerer to just drive to The Richardson Ranch=Rock Store???
Great to hear from you. Spectrum offers pit digs along with belt runs and ore piles. Considering your situation, I would suggest the belt run. Although belt runs are a bit pricier than some of the pit digs, it's usually where you will find a great amount of quality in a very short period (1 hr). Belt runs are where they classify the ore and then spray it with water as it reaches the belt. You'll sit next to the belt and pick off stones as they come by. It's great for people w/ disabilities and the cool mist is perfect in the desert heat. Ore piles are also a good option but will require much more work. Basically, you're given a big ore pile that you can sift through w/ screens at your leisure. This is a great option because the desert heat can really get to ya and its nice to be able to take a break as needed. As for the other minerals you've mentioned, fire opal is some of the hardest work I have done rockhounding. Obsidian is a lot of digging too. Here is what I recommend; Send me a direct message via Instagram and I'll send you a box (free of charge) with a variety of the minerals I have found over the seasons. I just found a bunch of nice rainbow obsidian that I bet you'll love. I'll make sure to take care of you and your family the best I can ^^ If you're not on Instagram, you can contact me on Facebook. I am the admin of the Southern Oregon Rockhounds, Oregon Sunstone, and Oregon Agate Hunters FB groups so I'm easy to find. Hope to hear from you and thanks for watching. Have a great holiday weekend ^^
My daughter Christina & I recently discovered your channel. We're enjoying your rocky adventures! Are you on Facebook?
