Welcome to Ocho Rios one of the most visited places in Jamaica and im soo pleased to be here . Being my first day here im soo much surprised how beautiful Jamaica is and lots of tourists all over. What people seem to forget is that Jamaica is like most countries in the world- there are VERY upscale places, there are run-down, neglected places, there are places that look exactly like paradise, there are places that are highly developed, there are places that are very natural and unspoiled/untouched... You get what I am saying. What is interesting about Jamaica (that many countries can't compete with Jamaica on) is that Jamaica has it all- over 100 majestic water falls, thousands of rivers, some of the best beaches in the world, caves, gorgeous mountains, nature trails, rainforests, mangroves and swamps, palm trees in galore, luscious greenery, etc. Along side all the endless nature, there is nightlife, food, some of the best all-inclusive hotels in the world, expensive villas and world-class over-the-water bungalows, parks, city life, rural life, some of the best foods on the planet, music, malls, the "vibe" of the people (which is very unique & interesting- it can't be replicated/successfully copied), historical sites, etc. Some countries that rely on tourism are sometimes one-dimensional- they may have perfect beaches and great hotels, but that's it. Some countries have many tall buildings/and are mostly city-like and some residential areas- and that's it. Some countries have a modern city, maybe a beach or a river, some restaurants, modern malls... but that's it. Jamaica has EVERYTHING- the good, the bad, and the in between! Anything you need, you will find it.
