Joshua_ Prime that’s how writers work... not every singer out there write their own songs, nor do they have to, they’re called singers, not writers... and writers sells a song to singers for them to sing it, so basically it now becomes their song. It’s not like the singer stole his song and whatnot, it’s just a trade relationship, kinda like how you bought your phone, the company isn’t gonna scream “we gave you that phone so it’s still ours”. They sold you it, so now it’s yours.

Oh my god this just made my year. Just heard he sang this song...i love both versions. The fact that 1D can interprete the song so well means they're good, coz when i heard Ed sang it i felt the way he felt when he composed the song. Little things has been one of my favourite songs ever since it came out but I've never been a massive fan of watching concert videos cause I hate listening to the sound of people singing over the top of the musicians. But this is just perfection and to hear Ed singing it is just even better. I'm actually in the middle of writing a Fan Fic about Ed and he is writing Little Things about his love interest in it so it's nice to hear him actually sing it

i had no idea this song was his but now it feels like i've known it all along.
i've never been a major 1d fan but i heard them singing this song and it's stayed one of my favorites by them but it always seemed like it was missing something, and i could never figure out what it was. but now, hearing it from ed's mouth, the importance that he puts on the song by quieting the whole room, i've finally found the root of it all, the song and its meaning finally complete.

Just heard he sang this song...i love both versions. The fact that 1D can interprete the song so well means they're good, coz when i heard Ed sang it i felt the way he felt when he composed the song. He did it this way coz he just wanted to sound different from 1D version. So no one sings better than the other, just different style. For directioner, u love it coz you love 1D type of songs n the way they were sung. While for Ed's fans, u love it coz you love his type of songs n the way he sings it. Just like when he covers chasing cars, he did it well, but still i prefer the original one. Js
