There are plenty of singers who ACTUALLY sound good outside of the studio and in concert. I would give you a list of names, but, I highly doubt you'd spend the time to look them up. So, it isn't nearly as "rare" as you think. It is just that today, your generation of producers aren't actually looking for talent and it is more about the image than skill, so, when you finally see someone that has "talent" you seem to think it is a rare trait. When your generation puts ding-holes like Lil Yachty, Takashi 6'9", and all the other mumble rap morons on pedestals because of their ignorant appearances rather than their ability to deliver quality music, then what happens is a flood of non-talent into the music industry from all genres because record labels are trying to capitalize off of appearances rather than quality music. So then when you actually hear someone that has genuine talent, you're surprised as if it has never existed before the one person you just discovered. In your case, it is this guy "Henry Styles." But, my generation had LOADS of awesome singers, rappers, and performers to choose from because our generation was actually about the talent and the quality of content, not the shallow imagery a couple of poor face tattoos and rainbow colored hair. Argue back if you want, but, your initial comment says everything about your perception of today's music climate for your particular generation. In fact, even your avatar picture says more about your generation than you could possibly imagine.

They sing the song several times, the editors pick up the parts that turned out better, put them together and then always use autotune, maybe less maybe more, it depends on the day of the artist or the style of the song.

I really love how he'll kind of giggle about how difficult certain vocal parts are after he's finished them. A lot of vocalists will try to look like everything is easy for them or like they're the expert at all times, but Harry will smirk at the audience like he's sharing the struggle or a joke with us. What a great disposition. He's become a bit of an attitude role model for me. If I'm in a tough spot I try to channel my inner Harry Styles- living in the moment, observing the world around me, maintaining a calm and playful approach, looking for kindest option, embracing a willingness to be put in a vulnerable position... it's hard to find good examples of how to live that way in my immediate environment, so this has genuinely changed my life. @Pradnya Paramita --The lack of a Brit Award kind of shocked me too, especially since he is a British artist. Although, with 1D and then as a solo artist, Harry seems to have had good success with the American music industry, so he was definitely snubbed for a Grammy.

I had never heard of Harry Styles before a couple weeks ago. I just happened to find him on TH-cam and was amazed at this young man's talent and charisma. @Pradnya Paramita --The lack of a Brit Award kind of shocked me too, especially since he is a British artist. Although, with 1D and then as a solo artist, Harry seems to have had good success with the American music industry, so he was definitely snubbed for a Grammy.

I had never heard of Harry Styles before a couple weeks ago. I just happened to find him on TH-cam and was amazed at this young man's talent and charisma. There is something so pure about his vocals and he truly has a God-given talent. I couldn't believe this voice was coming from a 23 yr. old. I had to buy his first CD from 2017 and I loved it so much I had to buy his new music. He seems like such a good and sweet guy as well. I'm old enough to be his mom, but I'm proud to say I'm a fan.
Seems like MoMA raised this young man well. He's amazing. Like a mix of a David Bowie and Elton John. I think he will have a grand, long career like them. Harry's voice is the most unique I've ever heard.
