I built this when I lived in Arizona. It was just a local metal supply store.

The easiest place is a big chain hardware store, like Home Depot or Lowe's, but it is going to be expensive there. For the cheapest, you'd have to call around your local metal suppliers and ask if they sell to individuals (some only sell to businesses).

Yes, it's a saw and blade that are specifically for cutting metal.

I have had it for a little less than two years and I've only replaced the blade once. I would not say that I use it frequently, however.

Thanks bud. The saw is OK... It does leave gnarly burrs and struggles with thicker material, but it was only like $120. I plan to just switch to a bandsaw for the quietness and cleaner/accurate cuts.
