I binge watched this. It was incredibly well written and directed. The actors could not have been better cast because the talent is really good. I laughed, cried and yelled NO!! Several times. Best show I've since first season of "You" or "Dexter"

Richard Gadd did something really brave by telling his personal stories, even if some of them could make people treat him unfairly. By sharing, he's not only helping himself feel better but also showing others that they're not alone if they're going through tough times too. It's like he's saying, "Hey, I've been there too." That kind of openness can make people feel more connected and supported.

only watched this series because it was directed by the same person that directed The End of the F-ing world. Man I'm glad I watched. I was yelling at my tv 70% of this series, then saying okay Donny I know you're trying your best but please get some help. Best character is Donny's dad. From him dealing with Martha's calls to him supporting Donny when it all came out. Just 10/10

What are you talking about it’s not the same director… also saying “the same person that directed” when talking about shows with multiple directors is also a bit confusing. Or can you give me the name of whoever you mean, looking at it I don’t see any person involved in both shows(could be wrong though).

I was stalked in college for a long time. She would follow me to classs when hers was on the other side of campus, meet up with my friends before I got there, slept outside of my dorm room on the floor and would text and call me over and over and over when she couldn’t find me. It was the first day of freshman year in the cafe and I told her I liked her bag and then she asked to sit with me.. that’s all it took.

I was stalked by my ex for 3 years and it was the most terrifying and most isolating feeling I’ve ever endured not knowing when they’re going to pop up
Being terrified any time I got a notification on my phone or any email or phone call etc
Watching this series was the most accurate showing I’ve ever seen of stalking in any tv or movie
It made me feel like I’m not alone here since I felt so ashamed that as a man I’m being stalked by a woman smaller then me and that no one would believe me or take it seriously
This series will make people open their eyes to the reality of how it really psychologically messes you up never feeling free even when you’re alone

I need to see Richard Gadd and Phoebe Waller Bridge together… I feel like the writing style and combination of depressive and comedic tones of baby deer is so similar to fleabag. Both of them started out as one man shows and ended up being translated into the most thought provoking, moving and engaging series, far more than most shows and films that have 15/20 writers.
This is one of those rare occasions where I come across a show that just gets what kind of storytelling I want…
Nothing put through rose tinted glasses, just brutal honesty about the disease of the human condition. British television at its finest.
I felt so gut wrenchingly heartbroken, so cringed out, so horrified, so embarrassed and saw such vulnerability in Martha…
How can you despise and adore a character so much??
    Absolutely incredible

I loved the series, myself being stalked by a man for eight years but under different circumstances. Emotional, naked, brave, creative, aesthetic, tragic and good entertainment. People need to talk about these things and get the stigma off the subject. This series really helps.

The absolute best show I've seen this year and in a long time. Excellently produced and performed. This is going to win plenty of awards. Such raw honesty even though it has elements of exhibitionism involved. I'm glad it is a well balanced show and is not victim oriented show. Martha's character is absolutely stunning and believable.

Oh man i bawled my eyes out, laughed, all the emotions, sych an incredible piece of art! It blew my mind when i found out the main character is the writer direcror and real life person who experienced all these things. What an amazing, brave, honest way to process your trauma and also help so many others by sharing it. This sbow is gomna be SO important!! It also blows my mind more people are concerned wirh finding and bashing the stalker (who clearly even the real life victim had sympathy for and could see she is just a very flawed human being probably acting from a place of her own trauma not that it excuses it, but there was some compassion shown towards her too definitely), instead of being concerned about who the real life groomer is. The ONLY part i hated about the show is the end where it insinuates they may work together again and leaves it at that. I really hope the real life groomer had some consequences or will be exposed thru all this finally and i hope donny didnt go back to work for him. Id hate to think he just kept doing it to more people or even to donny again, or just got away with it all :( tho i know thats probably sadly more realistic. Whoeever that was irl deserves the worst karma has to offer!

When I first watched this I felt sorry for this guy.. however when I discovered he was playing himself I began to change my mind about Richard Gadd! As a rape survivor I can’t imagine ANYTHING worse than having to relive that by acting it! Writing it can be cathartic sure.. but I don’t know one person who has been through that who would put themselves through that trauma again by re enacting it .. and it makes me question him and his motives .. I also think if “Martha” Is as bad as he says .. to then exploit her to gain fame and money is sick! He’s not the victim he likes to play and he cynically managed to get a whole host of woke agendas in there to boot! The Martha woman is clearly not the full ticket .. she needs help and instead he set her up for the lynch mob! I think he’s a despicable ruthless fame hungry fraud!

@animaidan400 Because Gadd lies. The story he tells is completely inconsistent. "I gave her one free cup of tea" No, he gave her a free drink every day when she came into the bar.
