After watching it I thought it was the best ever. However now I'm not so sure.
I believe it needs a warning as could trigger people.
Not all of us go onto to self destruct, use drugs and generally destroy everyone around us, there is another path. I fear this gives licence to the negative path.
Has the male been charged? If not why not? Is he still out there roaming freely?
Gadd said in another interview that the stalker in the series is so far from the truth of the real one she wouldn't even recognise herself 🤔
I do think once the press dig deep into this, which they will, it's not as factual and heroic as he's made out.

@@wdjkncvgdfsbyt34jgvi ~ Victims re-victimize themselves by going back to their abusers, and the cycle continues. I think victims sometimes blame themselves for the abuse as a defense mechanism so that they don't have to accept that their abuser is evil and preyed upon them (we don't like feeling vulnerable, right?). Predators often groom their victims and, at the beginning, they love bomb them and make them feel special, so people who are lonely and have low self-esteem can get easily hooked. There's so much internal conflict going on there.

    • @briannalee1998

The first thing I thought after watching this show is that Richard has such immense talent and intellect. You can see his intelligence from both on and off screen. Capturing such complex feelings and experiences that he’d gone through and to relive them?! Insane. Such a great guy that deserves all of this success and more ❤

I absolutely adore him. It takes a lot to bare your soul to the world the way he has. As they said, there is no hero and no villain. There is a lot of gray in the world, and a lot of humans are still unable to take accountability for their own suffering and the suffering they create for others. I hope he heals completely & continues to grow more into the extremely emotionally intelligent human I see him as. Sending love to him and any other victim of the violence portrayed in the show 💔

@@francine5936 yeah. Was so busy and so hot 😂 they couldn’t get any vehicles close to the filming areas so it all had to be carried or wheeled to each area 😂. I was a victim of stalking for 4 years. I am glad to see the increasing awareness and understanding of this behaviour and how it all affects the victim. Still so much more needs to change. If anyone reading this is currently experiencing the same - my advice is - keep gathering as much evidence as you can and be an absolute pain to the police - keep going, and keep making statements until they do what they suppose to do.

  • @readifdumb

What I liked so much about it is how raw it felt to the flawed nature of being human. Often we find ourselves in situations, doing things that we regret, and one by one we bury these moments, and create a false identity online, on social media and such. To see someone expose not only the darkest parts of their life, but also show the world how flawed they acted in those scenarios, it gives a voice to those that have been in manipulative relationships, and those that feel imperfect as they compare themselves to celebrities. All humans are flawed, one way or another, and I think that’s something to embrace not ignore.

He was so brave in sharing this story and exposing his vulnerabilities that make it easier for us to process our own deepest darkest secrets and shames. Can’t share my love for this series enough and glad he got out of this situation ok (from what we see)
