    Jay behaves much more properly on your channel than he does on his ;) I have loved watching Skunkworks being upgraded over the years, this latest upgrade is probably my favorite. Those water blocks look AMAZING!!! I hope to do that to a graphics card some day.

      EDIT: the waterblocks for the 2080TIs are 133.18 euros each, the reservoirs are around 62 euros each and the rest, such as tubing and small stuff cant be very expensive, id say the water cooling for that stuff CANT be worth more then a second hand car. Lets say the cost of the water cooling is around 500 euros.

      S33K3R™ two ek RTX 2080ti water blocks and back plates cost me $640 Canadian after duty and shipping. And my two 2080ti don’t come in till next week I’ve been waiting for them for 6 weeks now lol

      good news is, warranty void if removed stickers are illegal according to ftc. so you can still rma it as long as you can put the factory cooler back together correctly.

      I love how after a few dead 2080 Tis, everybody is making it sound like the 2080 Ti is bound to die. No, it's not. A friend of mine got his FE 2080Ti. 130 Mhz core OC, 1Ghz memory OC, it's still going strong.

      @@epicgrapefruit7563 I would personally buy it now and put a waterblock on it. Also, the problem has already been found. The vram chips aren't properly tested. A guy on reddit underclocked his vram by 50 mhz and his artifacts went away.

      @surfingsuicune Because I wanted two high-end GPUs for my new build. And 2080Ti's are just that. This is a fact, whether you're on the hype or the hate train. Were they worth over 1200€ a piece? I don't think so, but I don't care either. Gonna have my Acer Predator X34P soon, so I can really take advantage of the cards. Currently on an ancient 24" Dell monitor.

      He didn't tell people to "not buy" the cards exactly.... He said don't pre-order so you can wait and see what they do, and he said that the price to performance was not quite there. They are definitely the best card out there, but you don't need the best card to run 1440 at 60+ FPS.

    Look. I don't know anything about building a "computer" (my degree was in architecture), but I could easily follow exactly what JayzTwoCents did! Even reading your comments below here, I could pick up a few pointers. I could do that. Now, whatever else I needed to build the computer I wouldn't have a clue, but I'm going to go to a local computer store in town and have them build one for me. Now, I don't know what the NVIDIA cards do for gaming, but I sure do know what they'll do for graphics! And "Ray Tracing" is a huge step in the right direction as far as that goes!

    Have a block and backplate on mine and is excellent. Under 45c at 2115mhz solid. Have ran my card for some weeks now with many hours of heavy usage. So far has been excellent without issue.
    I also find it far easier to remove the blue plastic first then peel the thermal pad off the thicker clear plastic and apply. Rather than try peel it off in place.

    Hai don't mind me. I'm just here to watch Jay.
    But seriously. He's the guy I go to when I have any troubles computer related and was the guy I chose to have his basic PC build video up on my phone and consulted that when i was building my system over a year ago. The main things I like about Jay's videos and what makes his videos my favorite is he gives all the informations all, no bullshit, and manages to sprinkle in some humor that doesn't completely suck or seems too over the top for the sole purpose to get views. Jay is just awesome.

    I have a question... the gpu block has two little plugs or caps on the back where compression fittings would go... do you need to purchase these separately or do they come with the block?

    Am I not correct in understanding that you do not need those washers on the backplate ? The backplate is anodized aluminum and will not short the pcb unless bare metal is exposed from the anodizing being scratched off. Spacing up the backplate is going to remove the mounting pressure contact with the thermal pads.

    Couple of questions. Is this quieter, because when I have everything maxed out on some games, my 2080ti is a noisy fella, a nice safe 81* but the fan noise does my head in. Also, is it as effective as a fan, did you test/compare results? Thanks.

    Hello JayZ. I see EK waterblocks require "founders" Edition PCB's. Is that the same as Reference Model? A lot of other similar solutions require 2080 Ti REFERENCE PCB not founders. Wondering if it is the same thing. Also curious as to how good soft tubing and hard tubing is with regards to potential leaks?.
    The EK waterblocks seem to have holes going through. Can you use angled fittings like 90 degree joint fittings one say only one side or does it have to go in on one side and out on the other?
