Can you explain why you recommend Hilti tools so much when a lot of the tests you have done against other brands, such as Milwaukee, they seem to be less powerful, slower, and bigger? Thanks

He likes how they feel and their consistency. It’s not always all about being the most powerful. We just like to see who wins but for around the house tools, not being the most powerful is okay

I agree with what you said, but one of the big reason DIYers buy tools is because of their affordability. It doesn’t seem that Hilti tools are in that type of market since they cost about the same as Dewalt and Milwaukee tools. If Hilti tools are for more professional use, then they don’t seem to compare as well against other professional grade tools. Power wasn’t the only area that Hilti seemed to lose to Milwaukee on. The speed and portability also seemed to be worse then their competition. These are huge factors for many professionals and why they purchase tools. This is why I am curious why MCT seems to like Hilti so much.

I don't even think Hilti is an option for me. The tools I own aren't even made by Hilti to my knowledge.

They are built like tanks and have 20 year service. Hilti traditionally rents out their tools as sacrificial beaters and not really 'personal use'(though they do sell them if people want them)
Being fast isn't as nice if the tools are flimsy and feel like they're splitting at the seams from the bendiness and the flexing of the plastic.
It's also a matter of what's going to last longer, a tool that's only built to beat speed tests on TH-cam is going to wear out and need service sooner. And overheat(grease leaks) faster too

If I could chime in, basically as a contractor your tools are your life.. Hilti is #1 in understanding that, anything breaks they are gonna have your back in something crazy like 24 hours or less, correct me if I’m wrong someone! That’s my understanding of it though
