When I visited Cape Tribulation we camped overnight in the forest at the back of the bay. There were feral communities living there hiding from the police and immigration. Back then there were no board walks and the trails were pretty dangerous and overgrown. Lots of spiders, ants and flies. Lauren you need to get some Avon oh so soft bug repellent. Those horse flies have teeth as sharp as the sharks. Great video fond memories of the Cape. At night the water in that bay glows florescent due to the coral bloom - fertilization process.
