Having lived at Cape Tribulation some years ago,living in the jungle like Tarzan and Jane, under a tarp and cooking on open fire, I swam in the water at Cape Tribulation and north at Cowie Bay and having been in the water every day for over 12 months, I saw crocodiles on the beach and snakes also on the beach and the creek and often swiftly wriggling obviously on the hunt for a weaker animal. Swimming in the crystal clear, clean and beautiful coastal water at Cape Tribulation is something I'll never forget. Back then( mid seventies) there was only one sightseer bus of people one day ( Sunday)a week. And no one ,from this weekly bus, walked any further north, on the beach.
I was wondering why I never visited the Daintree when I was up there then I found out it wasn't a National Park until 1981 which was after I was up there. I definitely have think seriously of a return visit up that way.
Yes but the consequences are extreme. When you balance low likelihood with extreme consequences, that rates the risk high enough to make me very cautious. I respect crocodiles and can happily let them have their territory all to themselves. They deserve it and are limited to it, where I can swim in other safe places no problem.
You are tourists - please relable your video. As a Daintree tour guide it looks like your went on a tour then made a video, but Im not sure you should call it 'complete'? Lots of misinformation in this video.

The 'attacks' you talk about are very rare, and highly unlikely.
Yes they are but that doesn’t mean that we can go super close to them and agitate them until something happens.
