    I use black rust-oleum painter prime (~ $6), spray over the curbed area (painter tape covers surrounding), looks pretty decent and just sprayed once, with sharpie made some really little touch up. Looks decent.

    You can also use a orbital buffer with the sanding pad and it will be a lot faster, I bought an orbital buffer for my Tesla and I never thought I would use the little sand papers that came with it, lo and behold I got a dent on my rim and I used it, then I got some paint from AutoZone that was meant for cars but worked perfectly matching the Gemini rims. Overall, this will be a great video as a base for what to do even if you don’t buy that kit. I watch it and it’s basically all of what I did summarize in one video. Thank you so much.

      Oh wow. Orbital buffer is legit!

      By the way, I forgot to say that it’s been six months since that happened and it basically looks like new intact, don’t forget to sand all the way through the scratches, the visual aspect of the scratches compared to the visual aspect of a little bit less rim it’s no match. You always want to send all the way through the scratches even though if you lose a little bit of rim density. By the time you’re done, and the car is parked, you won’t even be able to tell even if you’re looking directly to it.

    I would’ve used an alloy rim filler to smooth it out before paining.

    but do you recommend a separate set of tires for winter since you live in CA if doing 5-10 trips to tahoe. or do you not think it’s worth it. asking because last year weather was awful

    • @EverydayChris
      @EverydayChris  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you do it every year always then yes. Everyone says winter tires wins always hands down

      Beats paying 1000$ for new rims, or leaving it scratch. It all comes down to. Which one would you pick at the end of the day? I pick fixing it every time before I get robbed from my money on a shop that will basically do the same.
