Yep! They have an adjustment knob on the back. It’s like a half circle that spins out to fill the space in between the filter and the tank if there is no rim on the tank. If you want to be super safe you could also buy from a seller with a good return policy and test fit the filter on the tank before putting it into use and then if it doesn’t fit you could return it. I just wouldn’t get it wet or put it in the water for sake of the return process.
I just bought the 14 Gallon Aqueon and I like the simplicity of it! No, extra back compartments of plastic taking away from the actual size of the Aquarium. Decent Led plant light, Sponge filter and heater and Bam! That's good enough. I had a Fluval Flex 15 and when I did maintenance on it, It was very challenging to me to clean that back compartment! Yes, the glass was probably a little more of quality? But, a pain. When I set up the 14 gallon for extra measures I'll add a bit more silicone for reinforcement. They kinda skimped a bit.
thanks for this tip...the first one I got leaked...I'm currently waiting for them to get more in to swap it at the store, but I think I will still add extra silicone to make me feel better about it
@@laurentaylor3105 Hello Lauren, to answer your question on extra enforcement of the Silcone sealant, The original has to be removed as it wouldn't cure correctly over the older sealant. Loctite is the best brand to get as it's Aquarium safe for Fish, If you have a Ace Hardware where you're located that's the best cost effective place to get it...👍
I recently found out Aqueon makes 60 gal verison of this and its on sale for $150 in my area. Planning on modding it by adding an overflow with a pump inside of it.

would you remove the original sealant first and then add new inside?

I can never understand why companies that make these aquarium never makes glass lids for the aquarium. Especially when its a saltwater system
