Id argue the wind gusts or whatever in super mario sunshine are the most annoying enemy, since you typically encounter them in several groups in high up places, and they can home in on you too
Those enemies are called wind spirits, and they made red coins of the lake in Bianco Hills a horrible experience.
I had a pretty underappreciated opinion too, because I really suck at vertical shooting levels, super mario land final boss is the most annoying enemy imo. It's really weird that I could pass some Cuphead horizontal levels in couple of tries, but I can't beat any stg bosses within 25 minutes at Normal difficulties
Thankfully Yoshi's sap(?) can take them out, unfortunately Yoshi isn't always available.

"Sherms" are named after the M4 Sherman, an American tank model used by the Allies in WW2. It was named such by the British for American Civil War general William Tecumseh Sherman. The game model more or less resembles the actual tank. Futhermore, the hats they wear are a recolored Uncle Sam hat.

The sun has always been easy for me to deal with in Mario 3, I honestly would say that Lakitu is way more annoying considering how he can actually aim.

I was honestly surprised boss bass and cheep chomp weren’t on the list. THOSE guys are so frickin annoying because they will eat you at any given chance they get when you are near them
6:38 That enemy is actually a Porcupuffer. Cheep Chomps don’t jump out of the water. They just try to eat Mario and his friends when they are underwater. And if they get eaten, they lose a life.

Honestly, I find the Scuttlebugs in NSMB very annoying in 8-4. They just keep coming, they're a pain in the neck to take out, and my first time playing this stage, I needed help from one of my old cousins to beat the level.
Lakitu and Big Bertha are by far the most annoying enemies in my opinion.

In my opinion I think the Spike Basses are NSMB’s most annoying enemy. They act just like Porcupuffers. The Crowbers only appeared in that one stage, while Spike Basses appeared in several.
Caloriates from Bowser's Inside Story are my least favorite enemy in any game. I hate hate HATE *HATE* those things. They're so early in the game, ridiculously overpowered, and have an attack pattern that can be easy to mess up dodging. They were the first enemy that made me swear at a video game when they gave me a game over.
ik this may be a stretch but in new super mario bros U i would actually say that cheep cheeps are the most annoying enemy, yes they aren’t encountered outside water levels, but in ‘above the cheep cheep seas’ they really make me mad, especially when i try to get the third star coin there, because i would pick the right time to jump off the scales to flutter jump to the pipe but then a cheep cheep would bounce up and hit me, causing me to lose yoshi and then die 💀

Nico i found out how to complete bowser Jr's boom bunker without touching any coins in super mario galaxy 2!First u need two players!then u need to go to the section where the launch star appears!Then send the orange luma to pick up the coin!Lastly u the orange luma needs to hold the coin even when u are in the bossfight and then u can finish bowser Jr's boom bunker without touching any coins
