    Early 80s. The few years when it was steam heat 37/0s rather than 37/4s. But late enough for the large logo livery, 1983 ish?

      I had Steam Heat 37/0s on the Oban, Fort William (with ETHEL Units on the sleeper), Malliag and Thurso as late as 1985. The following year, in 1986, I did Kyle and Wick, and services were in the hands of ETH 37/4s. I hope that helps.

      A Class 26 rescue (?) would put this earlier, than 1985.
