- Hey y’all! Come hang out with us. We had a very busy weekend but we enjoyed every second of it. There is nothing like family and being able to help them. I did find time to go to Bath n Body Works. I will share my haul as well as a few other items I’ve thrifted that I haven’t shared.

Oh my goodness, you and James crack me up❤ my husband and I were the same. We met in high school and we used to crack each other up 😂he passed in 2014, but I do have great memories. Otis 🐶and me, Massachusetts, where last night Sunday night it was 45°. Today reached 60°. It’s going to be like that for the next two weeks. The highest will be 71. I refuse to put my heat on! People in Massachusetts do not put the heat on in June.😮

New hummingbird feeder is gorgeous. Love it. Yes, my husband too has that uncanny knack of mocking me. I just hate it and I really need to pray to the Lord to please me patience with him. But honestly, we have been together 50 years this year and it always gets to me.

Hey Donna! Thanks for sharing with us! The "back forty" is coming along and looking mighty pretty! The new hummingbird feeder added a beautiful touch among the flowers and all that's growing. When you and James get done it will be like a resort. I am enjoying how y'all are working together to make it a place to rest, relax and cook too! James is a man of a few words but his facial expressions says it all. Cracks me up every time! LOL

Hello Donna, I just love watching you and James together, James is a hoot. Reminds me of my husband and I. When you said ouch something bit me and told James he just not sweet enough. I die laughing at you. Because if there are any mosquitoes or yellow flies around they find me. My husband and I can be right there together and I get bit and he doesn’t. Do y’all have yellow flies there? they hurt so bad and I swell up so bad when they bite me. I love your new hummingbird feeder.
😄😄😄😄. I have t seen any yellow flies here. The mosquitoes love me!! 🙄. I’m just much sweeter than James obviously 😂😂
So Donna, what is the purpose of flys? I thought they were like mosquitoes, no purpose. Did the baby duck preventer work? Boy, we had some hot and humid weather today. You will love having a ceiling fan outside, and the cover over the pergola will help a lot also. Our hummingbirds come every year, the last week in May, then they leave after a week, and don’t come back until the end of August through October 3rd or so. My husband says he thinks that during the hot summer months they go north to Minnesota where it is cooler, then head back south to where it’s warmer, (like Mexico). Loved the addition of the black shutters to your kids house. Seems you all are enjoying the new grill! Fried tomatoes and fried okra sound soo good❤️
I “assume” the purpose of flies to to help with dead and decaying animals but I could be completely wrong…. I hate them regardless of their purpose or non purpose..😂 it’s been stifling hot here. I dread August for sure. 🥵

Ms. Donna, I know a little bit about hummingbirds. If you hang the feeders in the sun and the liquid gets hot, they won't feed on it. If you put the feeder in the shade, they'll be all over it all day long. I'm not trying to be a know it all, cause I don't much trust me. I'm just sharing with you what I've learned for myself.

Thank you! Welcome! We have 5 kids and they are all married. I have 2 (boy and girl) and James has 3 boys. We have 2 grandsons. We are a blended family and praise God every one lives every one. 🙌🏼. My husband didn’t serve but his dad did and 2 of his boys are in the service as well as 1 of our daughters in love. 🇺🇸

Something new: I'm going to post a comment as I see things throughout the video today. That way I won't forget to comment on something. The first thing is your old aluminum pot filled with red geraniums hanging on your back fence. It would look stunning if you planted some variegated English Ivy to trail over the rim of the pot. I've thought that ever since you hung the pot but by the time I've reached the end of a video I have forgotten to post.
I think that would look great too but I have a question. It gets no shade there, would the English ivy grow there? I really don’t know much about ivy. ☺️

Busy weekend for you guys. We had one of those, too. We have deer that come through every morning & evening, their favorite seems to be my double knockout roses. Every time I think about cutting a couple to bring in the house, GONE! But I love the deer, just wish theyd eat the weeds. I loved hanging out with you & James. Have a wonderful day!

Love the new feeder! Glad you went with the clear sugar water; that pre-made red “nectar” is deadly to hummingbirds. I don’t know why they even sell it! The yard is beautiful!

Flies are not essential! They don't need wings to lay maggots 🤮🤮🤮 I hate flys!!! We collect rain water from our gutters for the greenhouse but there, y'all would definitely have to put a few drops of some kind of oil in to kill mosquitoes.... the only thing I like about Arizona....we don't mosquitoes 🤩
