I wouldn't say "uncomparable quality", he's amazing and a really nice style but there's loads of other phenomenonal animations out there as well, both from highly produced teams and other independent creators. I mean I've seen animation that looks higher quality than Real Life to me, which is freaking unreal (Litterally). Hobo is a legend, but part of a mythology filled with numerous other crazily talanted individuals.
One thing I really like about this cover is that it emphasizes Power of NEO more than most other remixes do - it's a nice change of pace to be have the focus on that over the world revolving motif.

It's a big bag of leitmotivs. There's the Spamton motiv, obviously, which the base for the first part, then the World Revolving to tie in with Jevil, mixed with Power of Neo to remind us who Spamton stole from. Power of Neo, which was a remix of Battle Against a True Hero in Undertale. There's even a little bit of Dummy! at the end of Big Shot to tie in with the ghosts and Mettaton's family. I love Toby Fox, man.

I feel like the best Big Shot covers are the ones that put a bit more priority on bringing forth the weird aspects of it. There are ones like RichaadEB that are just hella sick music, but Big Shot's appeal is very much tied to its weirdness, and without bits of weird sprinkled throughout it just ain't the same.

I mean, Neo is porbably based off Metatton Neo from Undertale who was a robot. So it makes sense he's robotic. This is probably one of the more accurate portrayals I've seen of him.

I always imagine that a child created that robot. As Swatch has said that he helped a lightner to create the form, and not to rag on the looks of the form but the quality of the suit looks ragged and “hastily” created, yet has that child-like charm to all children drawings. I assume that in terms of the Dark World, most creators of there form seem to have “limits” in what their creation can do, yet a child’s imagination is somewhat limitless, less constrained of the boundaries of what their creation can do, and this crude creation of a mech kinda emanates that “it can do anything!” and “it’s invincible” kind of vibe that only a child can make up with no consideration of what others would think of do, but at least the child is having fun while doing so
Yeah I agree with that roughly crafted and painted part, a lot of interpretations of Spamton Neo that I've seen have presented him in pristine condition and it doesn't really fit his dumpster man rotten glass-smelling self
The specific focus on the Mettaton Neo segment of the song rather than just putting all the effort into the World Revolving part of the section is something that I rarely see in BIG SHOT remixes, so to see it really stand out in this one really is refreshing.

I'd still love to see the video extended into a whole fight, but I imagine that turning the battle into a first-person shooter scene will have some serious troubles. Still, I'd be all over that if it was attempted. Probably would need to keep the action light from Kris's party, like maybe a bobbing and weaving camera, and an occasional shot to the strings when it's the party's turn, followed by Spamton's reply at taking the hit.

I love the instrumental feel to this. It feels like an epic showdown is taking place, kinda like Spamton is done messing around. Fire content as always.
This is still my absolute favorite version of Big Shot. Everything about this mix is just perfect. If for some reason Deltarune had an FF7 remake styled remaster this I exactly what I'd imagine. Absolutely perfect.

I'd still love to see the video extended into a whole fight, but I imagine that turning the battle into a first-person shooter scene will have some serious troubles. Still, I'd be all over that if it was attempted.
Probably would need to keep the action light from Kris's party, like maybe a bobbing and weaving camera, and an occasional shot to the strings when it's the party's turn, followed by Spamton's reply at taking the hit.
