    Thank you for putting the teachings of Jesus in a way that this sick, old, Christian woman, finds a deeper understanding, a comfort, and a renewed purpose.
    Thank you that I can sit, and watch your teaching in a way that I can share with my grandchildren, and they don't turn away, they understand, ponder, and want to hear more.
    God bless you, and God bless the Bible Project.

      I can't more expect a frank reply so am adapting it for mine:
      All that go out are fears... one Parable captures essence of it all, for fear of Master as his harsh rules he hid it underground, if it means the fear of laws is beginning of wizardry in a Wretched world's of Spiritless slavery;
      I never quite understood like it then...

      A formula to find favours from God's is like a Preamble as we the people if not also His followers after driven from Worship centres to Mountain plains to hear God's love for me so I too am able to live through Him;
      I thought i was doomed until heard of others falsity... it must be that God's sent His son only for true to self souls not self conceited to be asking Who're you foolish Galileans led by a Nazarene teaching us Top of class at J'salem temple echelons;

      i thank God for you are blessed of this nation... Please note contexts significant as Jesus's went through motions of outcasts to the cross as bearing burden off mine unlike a few before chose isolation as purists or quixotic in caves v. puritans quakers

  • @ninjason57
    @ninjason57 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I have paraphrased the last several minutes of Tim's sermon for myself to remember and I wanted to share it: Who's picture do you see in the stained glass window? Nine pieces of colored glass that make up a portrait; the nine blessings; nine characteristics. Who do you see? Can you think of somebody who came from poor insignificant circumstances? Who mourned and grieved over the state of his world and over the people that he met? Who was extremely important but did not think of himself as important? Who longed to see God's world set right and so, with small acts of mercy to hurting individuals, he showed pure devotion to the cause of the Kingdom? Who inserted himself into dangerous situations between people who hated each other, got persecuted and, in fact, was killed for it? The death of Jesus, who is the perfect embodiment of these blessings, is actually the way that he epitomizes the values of the kingdom by setting aside his status and as the representative for us all, dying in our place, taking into himself the consequences and God's own justice on the screwed up ways of what we have done to each other and God's world. In his resurrection from the dead Jesus' commitment to the goodness of our world, and to redeeming it, he offers hope and forgiveness and life to those who will grab onto him in faith. Jesus is the epitome of these blessings and that is good news for unimportant insignificant hurting people like us.

    I mourn what's happening in the world; it pains and saddens me. It frustrates me because there is nothing I can do about it, other than pray to God. I hate all evil, it angers me and makes my skin crawl. I can not forgive what evil does to others, but I can and do forgive what evil does and has done to me personally. Otherwise, again, all I can do is pray to God. I am soooooooooo looking forward to Jesus' return. Amen?

    Tim Mackie is a wonderful teacher. He goes far beyond obvious interpretations and shares with us the great depth in the Bible (if not allowed to be owned by right wing evangelicals and fundamentalists).
    I could watch him all day.....wait a minute. With TH-cam I can watch him all day.
    He's also wonderful eye candy! Woof! LOL

    • @ArizonaWillful
      @ArizonaWillful 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Saying that a man is handsome is not an insult to his family. It is merely a compliment on TH-cam. So when a movie star becomes married with children, we can never comment on his/her appearance ever again?

    • @ThrivingWithGaylaDGaia
      @ThrivingWithGaylaDGaia 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @arizonawillful Tim Mackey's not a Hollywood Star. That's proper context. He's teaching people on Scriptures about Jesus, not acting, not using his body and looks to seduce his audience with make believe. He's married and his wife is a real person with feelings. I doubt Tim or his wife were offended. They might have chuckled and agreed! I think the point is to honor one another with the ways we're speaking about them and in truth, honor God with how we speak but even more so how we're thinking about others... Hollywood stars or not. It's a Biblical based command that has just loads of solid reasoning behind it. Tim is attractive! It's wonderful to watch him do so well at something he's obviously so good at... and I really appreciate his dedication and command of Scriptures. He's a blessing!

    Blessed are we who have heard this message! Second time through I watched not just listened. Loved those paintings...of perception! I was thinking about the community of the Dead Sea Scrolls...how our area has had communities that feel the same way. They move here to ride out the end times or to prepare to force it so Jesus will return. It is pretty amazing how our perceptions determine so much just as you said. It is truly stunning.

    The interesting thing the Spirit has lead me to see. Is they are concentric states. Those blessed coming acknowledge they are poor in spirit will suddenly find themselves mourning the hardened heart, they must let die. Thus becoming meek yet grounded in the inheritance. Where then your hunger and thirsting for righteousness is sated. Receiving mercy because you are merciful. Thus the pure heart thus recreated can see God.

    Blessed are those with peaceful hearts for they will inherit the earth.
    Blessed are you when you hunger and thirst for goodness and for contact with the Father within you, because then you will surely be filled up a hundred times over.
    Blessed are you when you are attacked and robbed because you will see God-in-action when you stand still in perfect trust and see deliverance taking place.
    Blessed are you when you are caught up in conflict, yet you can still care about your fellow man and be the peace maker. You carry the Love in your heart which is of the Father and you are truly a child of the Father.
    Blessed are you when you have been deeply wronged by another yet can forgive and can show mercy, abstaining from seeking justice or the means to persecute him. You put yourself directly in harmony with the Love which is God-active-within you and even so will you be spared in times of trouble.
    Most blessed of all are the pure in heart, for such as these have rid themselves of all anger, hatred, vindictiveness, unkindness, envy, hardness of heart and stand before the world as Love-made-visible. They will know the Reality of God and they will know the Reality is the Father within them.

      It was to his disciples but the crowd could probably hear as well. The crowds were not made up of his disciples. They were following Jesus for healing not because they believed him to be the messiah. I so appreciate Tim’s heart but he went further than the text went, making an assumption. Jesus’ message to repent was a call for people to see their spiritual poverty and mourn over their sin coming to this realization with a meekness and humility as they hunger and thirst for righteousness, the righteousness found only in God. Much more here but it is a state of being as we approach a Holy God. It is so important to read and study for yourself! May God richly bless you and Pastor Tim’s ministry!
