It makes working out difficult fingerings far less daunting!

oh thank you! :) I really am struggling with the fingerings, I now know what it sounds like (mostly) but the fingerings are beyond me haha Going from D to C to B and back up again is really difficult for on the G string. I was wondering if there is an easier alternative, like playing some of the notes on the D string? I do have a bass teacher, but I won't be seeing him for 4 weeks now.

ah, i wish this was Troika! I'm doing Troika for my exam and I don't really know what it sounds like...
I suggest going to any You Tube performance of the entire piece.
