A person that can really express themselves like Nina just opens one's eye to how much more there is to learn. Humbling and exciting. We are blessed to have such inspiring people to draw from.
Magical girl, first seen her on youtube at masterclass Ödön Rácz.
Yes, there she played a Schubert orchestral excerpt with monster level precision and tone. He didn't have much to say about it, except suggesting that maybe she should consider playing a smaller instrument to avoid future injuries.
Uau. New in the clasical double bass. Just foind her. Love it
Really enjoyed this. Wonderful technique and musicality. What a great sounding instrument too. Super interesting interview. Thanks!
Great! I am so glad to watch this video
Her Intonation is SPOT ON! - Geoff, I bet after this interview, you went home to practice...lol.
You’re not kidding! She did the performance at the end in one take! 😮😀

Was the bowmaker Vladimir Radosavljevic? My violin bow is made by him, he's a fantastic bowmaker.
Yes, I believe he’s the maker.
I’m jelly of that bass.
Oh my gosh! The new Rinat Ibragimov!
Wow!! And suddenly most of my double bass heroes are women!!
Y’a, we all went home and practised.
There’s all kinds of tunings that I don’t know about.
Do you have a video about various tunings / through the ages?
Any relation to Mark Bernat?
Yes, Nina is Mark's daughter.
Is she using her third finger and or following Rabbath’s technique?
I don't think she's using the 3rd below thumb position, but I can't say for sure what her approach is. It looks fairly conventional to me, just perfectly executed!
