- The “rule of law” is a popular but vague term. It’s one of those terms that lawyers and politicians tend to use so much it has almost become meaningless.
This video tries to explain and demystify the phrase so people (not just lawyers) can start using it with confidence - and without sounding like boffins.
In Canada! ;) Supreme court of Canada! ;) 1) No human being is above the law. Specifically humans in charge. 2) Humans who have been violated have recourse and Remedy that DETERS form other violations from the same party! ;) Keep up the GREAT WORK; Cheers RJ. ;) This is what "Rule of Law" means { distinct form "The Rule of Law } in Canada and I would also be able to make a case for the whole of the Commonwealth of Nations! ;)
Useful video , allowed me to learn more then my lectures within 3 minutes of the video .
lol youtube is better then school
This is an amazing video! Probably one of the best one i found on rule of law. Well explained ;)
LOL!!!
Great video! Thank you for creating a short and engaging video about this topic. Although, I would add that there is also sovereign immunity, which means that the Queen cannot actually commit a legal wrong under civil or criminal proceedings
I liked this. The music is just very distracting. Nicer listening to you.
@Jo Jo never think you are better than anybody else or that you have the right to insult people. She is beautiful, to be honest. I agree that the music is too loud . Be blessed and may we look at people through eyes of love and see who they really are.
Jo Jo looks have nothing to do with her knowledge bruh
@Jo Jo what is wrong with you? If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.
P.S She is very beautiful.
Ok
i love how towards the end of the video she explained that the rule of law is somewhat idealistic.
Gambaran umum dari rule of the law bisa memberikan hasil nyata dalam menciptakan iklim berkehidupan menjadi kondusif dan konstruktif dalam semua elemen
Excellent video. Would you not agree that police did not just get Royal inside but rather confirmed his identity to the bouncers which is what was required?
Excellent! the Rule of Law is still an ideal in many areas, not a reality. But the Lady explains it with such clarity! I highly recommend, "The Rule of Law and The Constitution" by Honorable Murray Gleeson. It's 138 page sbut excellent and you can finish it in one night he writes so succintly and clear.
is there any pdf available of this writting?
@@susmitanath9942 I have not found a pdf but got copy thru interlibrary loan via my local library. As an aside, there's another good short essay written by Sir John Glubb which you can get online in pdf. The title is, "The Fate of Empires and the Search for Survival." I wish more of these mens' works were online.
So when a person says “What’s the rule of law in Roe v. Wade? What does that mean?
What is a line of authority?
Cover that one
The fundamental problem with the rule of law is that it requires and allows levels of hierarchical authority that enable scales of violence and destruction that simply are not possible outside the rule of law.
And it doesn't seem that anyone ever seems to calculate the pros and cons of the rule of law by comparing it to the levels of violence and destruction available outside the rule of law.
Climate change... only possible under the rule of law.
Genocide occurs under the rule of law.
War... under the rule of law.
Poverty... a systemic result of the rule of law.
What is the roleif law
Suggestion: I’d write what NSW stands for in your About page on TH-cam or in video descriptions.

Laws can be argue togh presets ad cool law.
But the brittanic monarchy does not pay taxes like the other citizens. And the king has a special status that avoid him to go to prison. So.... It looks like the law of rules... on that aspect, more than the rule of law. But still the concept os very apealing.
Very good 😁
Canada does not recognize anything before 1850 including Magna Carta.

We are in the global rule of law right now. And what from what I am reading on the world economics forum/ United Nations/World health organization does not match up at all to this video.

Here because of Mr Balhao? 😂
The royalist push is too strong on this one
Here's a hack for you ... At 1213 King John LACKLAND (he owned no land ergo "Lackland") gave pope (inc) England and Ireland, as well its heirs and successors who would be Vatican presidential appointments. With the stroke of a quill, England fell under the Cana'an ("canon") of the law. Shakespeare wrote of this in "King John". The only utility of Magma Carta 1215 is Chapter 13 Part I re: inner city of London. Part II deals with the laws of the other cities, towns and ports but NOT their ancient customs like Part I for London! At 1213 the laws common to the Heptarchy (common law of england) devolved to the code of Cana'an law!
The rule of law or the rule of lawyers?😉
Ligislotirs pass laws
