Hi Danny, thx for the info. in the videos they always help alot. i have question, u said u like hens on eggs system is ur favorite , do u worry about the crop milk when hens sitting on eggs just before hatching? I heard from ppl hens after starting creating crop milk they fall apart in races....whats ur experience with that? BTW i live in Toronto, Canada. and im gonna fly young birds next years as first year in the sport so im learning alot and keep absorbing info. from all great ppl and flyers like u. if u have any advises for me plz dont be shy lol. thx again
Hi Dan, I’ve been watching your incredible videos...I’ve been into pigeons for years & have never encountered anyone willing to shares tips and information like you...I just purchased some homing pigeons from an old timer, they’re bandits bred from HappyCo Lofts of CA. The birds 9-10 years old, I would like to keep the bloodline going::. Do you have any suggestions..would you introduce a new bloodline to that line...thanks Vinny Z
Hello pokie I would breed from the pigeons you have and race the young if they do well I would not cross anyrhing in. I would also try a pigeon or two (cross in) the following year to see if the fly better. What I think your going to find is that they are about the same.
Hi Danny. I am a new flyer and this is my first season. I am racing on the roundabout system. I ended up winning the first race with a hen and came 5th and 6th in the next 2 races with hens. The cocks dont seem to be flying well so I decided to change something this week and 2 days ago I put the cocks in the hen section and the hens in the nest boxes with their bowls and bedding. The cocks seem real anxious and are trying hard to get back in. Have you ever tried something like this pr know someone who has? Would you recommend it? Basketing is tomorrow for a Thursday race so hopefully it motivates the cocks.
Hey Danny I have a youngster that I started to single toss, tossed it 1mile in one direction it came back tossed it 1mile in another direction it came back tossed it 5miles it the same direction it took 2days to return what should I do?
Hi Danny I’ve just started racers after keeping assorted pigeons for 40+ yrs so I’m no young man if you could tell me three things what would they be ? And don’t say get out of racing pigeons 😂👍🏼 much thanks .
At 60 I'm just starting out... I dont have fast birds and would doubtless not win. I'm exasperated with the costs of flying - minimum of 5 birds at a days wages for each bird shipped... What is that all about? However, here is my Question: Are there any clubs or combines that fly for the fun of flying without the exorbitant expense? Second Question: Are there competitions with handicaps so even a neophyte might have a sporting chance? Low cost racing and handicaps might just attract newcomers.... I know that I would be a lot more enthused if I didnt have to spend a years income for a competitive bird... Do you know what I mean? Around here its as if you gotta be rich to enjoy a little competitive fun... I dont get it...
