I absolutely love the Bugout. I have the SMKW Exclusive Benchmade Bugout in CPM M4 with G10 Scales.
How has the M4 held up?
I fell in love with the G-10 TaggedOut. The butterfly tax on it is severe though. The Mini Presido II is another good option. It's essentially the same size as the Bugout, but the Presidio's handle is curved and more hand-filling.

I buy my knives at airport sales so I have to wait; but get about a 50% discount over buying new. I got one of my grails yesterday, a Leatherman Surge. The Bugout is also part of my top two grail knives. I am a fan of Griptillians and own several, but the Bugout is closer to Spyderco thin than the Grips.
Damn, that’s a good idea I should start looking into… I had to mail my Recon 1 back to myself in Customs years ago on a Wildfire deployment. I suppose the knives that people don’t bother to do that with go into a pool for eventual sale?
I feel the same about the Grip and the SuperFreek. Phenomenal design and ergos, but heavy squats and chunky folders don’t make for a comfortable pocket ride unfortunately.
I've only gotten into Benchmades this year and I've only got 2 so far. My first one is a Mini Griptilian which I love and my second one is a 940-2 which I love even more. I'm thinking of the Redoubt. Any idea on how that knife performs and carries? Thanks.
I’ve never handled the Redoubt, but I’d guess based on the ergos and dimensions that it’d be similar in feel to the Griptilian/Mini-grip.
If you love the 940-2 (I had one for a while and carried it lots) I’d bet my money that you’d love the Bugout. I slept on it for far too long…

Yeah dude, it’s absolutely ruining so many knives for me lol.
I’d say the spyderco stretch 2 straight spine in k390 is a harder use work knife then bugout. The bugout for me was too thin for a work knife. But I will say for a basic very light simple cutting use knife it is good .

Heard Benchmades 20cv is not as good as Spyderco 's
I've noticed Benchmade's s30 isn't as good as Leatherman's s30. I carry the bugout and a charge doing the exact same work day in and out Leatherman out lasts the bugout
