Here's what I find interesting. We know the core personality of a person doesn't change when they get severed. Mark is basically the same person inside as out, he just has different information to work off of and respond to. Given that, think about how over the top rebellious Helly is. That is her personality to the core. Incredibly, obnoxiously rebellious. Does that sound like somebody who would be an ass kissing Daddy's Girl corporate shill on the outside? @4:20 While you were looking at the pretty blue lights, didja happen to notice how they make the shape resembling the elevator light as the innies see it when going topside.
What I think would be most chilling is if Helly’s outie doesn’t have a successful cover-up for the poor treatment of innies, but that doesn’t matter. So many people would be content to turn a blind eye to the innie’s suffering because they see them as “less than,” and the innie’s purpose was too great a benefit to the shareholders or whatever people were at that party to concern themselves over the wellbeing of the severed employees. I’ve always thought that the files they work on are actually names of people. And that they’re deleting that person’s ability to experience the emotions they feel when they capture those numbers. Feeling scared, angry, happy etc (the 4 pillars in the handbook, I can’t remember the exact terms). I feel like it’s connected to the testing floor, because Ms Casey certainly isn’t able to fully feel emotion, but then when she did show some emotion she got sent back down. So maybe her file wasn’t at 100%
What I don’t understand is why everyone down there is almost child-like, but Helly. She comes in, and remains, very skeptical. She’s discontented. She’s way more curious than the others. She’s driven to get out more. She’s very extreme in everything. I’m not saying that it’s a bad trait. I’m just saying that she’s nothing like the others. Why is that? Does her chip work differently? Is it that there’s just some people that don’t adapt or accept their situation, and aren’t as curious?
I believe it's because she's rich and accustomed to certain privileges. Her nurture and nature dueling. I don't think they are more child like but so sad. They are compartmentalize and can't control what all is repressed. Your memory may go but the feeling is still there. Like Mark said, he didn't want to reintegration. WHY does this process cause you to die? Is it a hormone flood. Or something that needs to be processed with intensive therapy. With EMT?
Like Helly, Mark used to be that way too. It seems that the break room environment and his friendship with Petey have conditioned him to be subservient.
Don’t forget the rest of them have been there for years by now. They were conditioned to know what happens when they break the rules or question things. Like a rat being electrocuted, they become subservient
During season one, we see the procedure being done on Helly. The chip is not implanted as far as it's supposed to go. I remember several people pointing that out. That might have something to do with it.
You mention the naming of things being misleading: but "break room" being the place they use to "break" you is not so much a misnomer as it is a form foreshadowing? I wonder if there are more of these.
I wonder if in fact multiple innies exist, they start to become less and less of a person in the sense that you’re continuing to bifurcate a person into smaller and smaller parts. At some point I feel like they would be extremely fractured pieces of the whole that occupy such a small space in the brain that they’d be rather limited in their existence, though if Lumon wants to create mindless drones that might serve them well
The way they frame Helly in this scene of her walking you can make out a reflection of light or something that makes it look like the down elevator symbol above her
I feel like that thumb is black 👀🤔 Has Milcheck been given a second chance? Is he going through the innies’ things to ensure he’s regained control over them?
The combination of Irving being gay on the inside, but having served in the military on the outside tells me that his outie is latently gay, and quite possibly homophobic and self-loathing - all down to his conditioning. Likely somewhat similar to the Frank character in American Beauty. Should make for an interesting storyline.

Trust me friend, when you join communities like this and discuss the show each week… it is the better experience for everybody. It turns these shows into the cultural moments they should be, instead of things we binge alone in our rooms and then forget about before next season comes out a year later. Binge watching is not the vibe it once was.
@@HaxDogma That's fine, you make money by it being drug out where they leave cliffhangers for people to discuss. If a content creator said they wanted it binge-able I'd question their motivation. 3 figures running - first one is Mark, second is Irving judging by the shadows and the third is a female judging by the jacket, so that's Helly. Alternative, Mark, his sister and brother-in-law. With that said, I could do with more mysteries of the office and less subtle woke propaganda, and yes, it's woke propaganda. We have more disabled people living in the USA than gays or trans yet oddly in just about every show. We all know why and those that don't are part of the problem. Cheers.
I dont think there's any situation Irving's outie WOULDNT be gay, but I do think maybe we'll have sub story about him being maybe deep in the closet or unable to come to terms with his sexuality. I feel like innie Irving obviously felt less shame and more confidence in his attraction seeing as all the innies are basically metaphorical babies. I just looveee seeing queer stories portrayed in media, im so excited to see where they take his story :)

It will be almost 3 years for Season 2. Why?
Season two is in January, so two months from now.
the fingers flipping the pages are a black persons', so not Irving's
Who is the “game of thrones goddess”? I am a fan of that show and I don’t recognize her? Anyone knows what character she plays in GOT?
brienne of tarth
@@johnrl1 oh wow! Really. Cool
Oh yeah, I just realized I never said the name 😅
@@crystalthesocialworkerreally? It was so hard? She has so recognizable face and "hard fan" of GOT didn't recognize her, interesting. Oh, i got it. White people are all similar, yeah?
You should give the thumbnail creator a pay raise. I hate it so much that I felt compelled to say something about it... which, I suppose, is generating interaction with the video and, in turn, helping with the algorithm. Brilliant... but seriously: season, severance, 2? 2, severance, season?? Severence, 2, season??? Why?
Thank you man!
That's not how you spell tomorrow genius
Lmao got em
Disagree 100% on the "don't release all at once". I'm sure they won't but I'd much rather watch it at MY pace. If I want to binge it, let me binge it.
I hate cliffhangers, I know how I want to consume media. What it means is I wait until the whole show is out, watch it, think on it and then go looking for online discussions. I don't have any desire to be in a week to week tension filled story.
@ god bless brother, I hope you learn to trust people on the internet again 🙏
you kinda sound like philly d
January 2025?? Wtf
It's a social control. FOMO. And they will increase price before then too.
Cheers.
LFE 159 "Life's one 5 to 9" ?
I didn't finish season one, got bored but might give it a second watch💚🇬🇧🌱
British people
@@eggheadusa we are cool aren't we?🤣💚🤣😂
bored??? 😮
You just stick with Mrs Brown’s Boys. Because if you weren’t already hooked then you won’t understand the nuances and intricacies of a show like this.
Flip book hand is Milchick.
He had a medal from the the Navy . Sure it was a secret.
I also really hope that they release one episode at a time
Are you a bot? Will you please pay for my 2 month subscription? I'd like to watch the show and be distracted from my miserable life. Without breaking the bank to do so. I support humankind, not Big Business. The tax breaks receive by these companies and the cities they film in. Are more than enough and NO ONE ANYWHERE SHOULD BE CHARGED A SUBSCRIPTION FOR ANYTHING ANYWHERE.
@@NeverEverNever-a2cg How do you think they manage to make such big budget programmes like this? Do you think it’s for free? You think they do it out of the kindness of their hearts and don’t need to make the money back? Grow up
I like this show because it's possible. Heck after cvid I've questioned whether doctors were really aware at all with their bad recommendations like the clot shots and useless masks 😅 But then, we are a species that regularly did crazy crap like burning witches etc.
Anyway, that's why this is more believable and quite realistic if you look into the psychology about it. Ian McGilchrist wrote a book called The Matter With Things that goes into that and you know Westworld explained how a voice drives the guests (bicameral mind theory)... Difference is that these days it's not hearable, but it still controls people. But social media is a blessing because people are seeing how stupid and unaware 😢we have been for so long!
Anyone else ready for a Milchek spinoff show already

Maybe the CGI artist overlooked it in this shot but the following figures are not leaving feet prints. 6:50
