Yes, I cried so much the Lord touched me in this scene and used it to minister to me the night before I went to lead worship and ministe for the first time after 3 years at the Sunday service of my church.
I love how Simon tells his wife Eden..."enough to pay off the whole debt"..not a portion...not just a dent....not enough to get by or buy a little time...but exceedingly and abundantly...A little foreshadowing...that is why Jesus was born, to pay off the "whole debt" of sin for the world, Amen
"So you believe me ? - You couldnt make this up..." Amazing dialogue. True love between man and wife, knowing each other so well, trusting each other... and with this hint of self-humor. Great writing...
I cry every time I watch this scene. It’s the excitement in Simons voice and in his face even though he has no idea what to expect, but trusts. And Edens emotion and conviction in it is outstanding. When she says “come here” I felt the love of a woman who was just so proud of her husband.
The love of a secular man and woman today is not as strong as in Biblical times. We can learn from this beautiful Holy Marriage. GOD Bless them! ✝️🕊❤️🙏🏻
For a scene that took a lot of liberties (since there is no mention in the Gospels), this was beautifully written and really keeps Jesus in the center. Wonderfully done!
This is one of the those things that make _the chosen_ a different class to all the other Jesus movies - it portrays characters as real humans with real world problems mixed with romance and humor.
I agree! They give a beautiful portrayal of what a biblical marriage should look like. It’s very refreshing after all the unbalance Hollywood always shows.
The way The Chosen brings out so many other dimensions that have always been there in the story of the disciples, their wives, family and friends is why this show is so accessible. Because we begin to understand and see more of our own lives in theirs. Getting a reminder that they were people who lived, breathe, messed up, were forgiven, received understanding and we're in continual fellowship with God just like us.
Jesus Christ healed me! This is my story about my healing!I was extremely ill! I had diabetes and kidney failure, which urgently requires dialysis! I prayed to God to heal me, not for me, because I don't deserve it, but for my little children, who were left without a mother! in exactly that day, in which I prayed, the Lord healed me! I suddenly felt the pain in my kidneys go away, as well as the dryness in my mouth (diabetes). I'm a new women now! I thank the Lord for His mercy and love for us!!!!
I love Simeon and Eden! I had no idea Simeon had a wife, but then there’s that Biblical passage of Jesus healing Peter’s mother-in-law. This scene is just SO Beautiful! A Godly woman and a Godly Wife! ✝️🕊❤️🙏🏻
It is so precious, how Peter's wife and John's and James' father both are so committed and have so much dedicated their lives to the God of Israel, that they both can release their loved ones into something entirely different, so new that it had never happened before. They are such great examples to be followed!
Love these two! Great chemistry between the actors, so much talent.... Sidenote: One detail of the Chosen I noticed is the amazing job they did on the make up and costumes, I love how authentic everything looks like, that people actually look a bit sweaty because yes it is a hot country they live in and I love that they are not perfectly groomed and styled...
Proof beyond any doubt that attractiveness doesn't have to be stylish or sexy. I mean, for goodness sake, all the women featured are following ancient Jewish decency standards and covering their body. You can't even see past their hairline most of the time. But what you can see, the demeanor in their eyes and face, shows the true beauty and virtue that lies beneath. And that is a beauty far more wonderful and lasting.
Nothing is known of Simon's wife but they have created a beautiful character for her; I can imagine she was like this, happy that Simon was one of the Chosen of the Messiah.
I have just noticed the date of this video posting (August 22, 2020) and it is the same day I witnessed Christ glory here in San Diego. Like Simon Peter, I had doubt until that day... The risen King Jesus is truly our Shepherd.
I love this scene! Eden's loving support is so inspirational! My favorite line is, "He said that I would catch people instead. I don't even know what that means."
Peter is the only one we know is married from the gospels, though most of them probably were. It is VERY cool to see his wife actually portrayed and see them interact. Great scene.
That's fantastic! What a beautiful response from a sacrificial and loving Godly wife! We don't think about the real world sacrifices the disciples and their families would have made!
I love the excitement in his voice while he's trying to explain something that he doesn't even understand what he's saying and he says that I don't even know what I'm talkin about but I'm doing it I love it another great scene. And when the camera pans in on the wine coming out of the spout slowly perfect just perfect
Abba Father, continue to guide by Your Holy Spirit, everyone involved in this project. Pour over and into them Your anointing. May they sense Your presence while filming. Encamp Your angelic hosts around them at all times, especially their families while they are working. Thank you for Your divine wisdom, understanding, knowledge of the scriptures and especially Your discernment! Thank you for Your Spirit moving amongst and within each of them. Praying for Your Word to awaken each of them to Your truth and that those who are not saved, will become "born again"! For those who have turned away from the faith, rededicate their lives to you! Truly the "fields are white unto harvest", time to reap the harvest! Aloha gang! The Chosen is truly a blessing from the Father..."for such a time as this!"
Excellent chemistry between two very well chosen people to portray an excellently written script and follow solid directing. May Adonai bless "The Chosen" according to His purposes for it, in the name of Yeshua, Amein.
This scene just moves me to tears more than any other in this show thus far. You cannot underestimate the value and love of a wife who just believes in her husband - no matter what. He will fail. He will fail miserably sometimes. There will be moments of weakness that every man encounters that he never imagined. And every man falls. But a wife, who is willing and ready to face every and all battles with her husband is a woman to be honored and praised. This scene captures it all. She may have been disappointed in Simon but she knows. She just knows that he is more. And she is there for him, by his side. No. Matter. What.
I love, love, love the way they made Simon Peter his character. His behaviour in the series totally makes sense if you look at the things that are written in the Bible about him. I've only watched the first five episodes of Season 1, but I feel that it's the same with Thomas, Nikodemus, John the baptist, etc. Amazing series. I'll try to make a donation, but I don't live in the US and don't have a creditcard. If someone can help me with that, tell me. It would be a pity if they couldn't make all 7 seasons.
Pray for the actors and the writers. Money will come, but so will spiritual attacks: temptations, weariness, discouragement, jealousy, all the tools which the enemy commonly uses to destroy. Pray against all that, and for God's guidance and protection.
One of my favourite scenes so far - Jesus going to Mary and Nicodemus on the roof and this all so amazing and giving a whole new dimension to the gospels
Through two seasons, this is (to me) a Top 5 scene. To have a wife that wise, that loving, that obedient to God.....is worth more than all the gold and jewels in the world. Very well written and perhaps executed even better. This is a hopeful and magical scene for the married everywhere.
So lovely, because it gives you hope. And Shows you what honest explanaitions and receipts mean so much... understanding each other... its that chemistry called love...
She’s such a strong brave dynamic compassionate and deeply faith filled woman. And honestly I don’t think in reality it would be really any different❤ to be married to Simon that would be the perfect type of person to be with him
This is one of the many scenes that makes *The Chosen* so special, and by far the best series I’ve ever seen on the life of Jesus in my 52 years! This scene was just beautiful and I’m so grateful that this series is in my lifetime. Praying for the continued success of this work. Grace✝️Peace🇨🇦
To say the CHOSEN is special ,is an under-statement , it is so touching. These 2 actors are super- special, never have I seen better media movies. Pray that we support and share with people the power of God in this movie..During the evil times we are in, THE CHOSEN is the cure by Gods design
I minister to breaking and broken families, I will direct couples to this scene (and so to the presentation of the Gospel in the entire program) as an example of how they should support each other as ezers before God. Thank you
What a fabulous, joyful, poignant scene, and I believe true to the characters and a good way, in God's eyes, to think of those characters, the way those people likely were.
Praise God!Wow! Wonderful Scene! i love the way this Chosen Christian Movie Is Taken. i Thank L.YESHUA! Thank You For All The Efforts taken! God Bless You All! With Prayers! Shalom!
Dallas, just a thought. What would be great later in future seasons would be as Simon reflects on his new life and leaving Eden for long periods of time, how sweet would this be if you could recreate that moment they were discussing as a flashback? Eden getting tangled in the Chuppah, Simon lifting her veil.....just a thought....
1Corinthians 9:5 “Do we not have the right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?” 1 Corinthians 9:5 ESV
The acting is so superb in this scene! I cannot believe they got through it all without having to splice it together. Peter's excitement was absolutely contagious and I LOVE the chemistry between him and Eden!
Welp, I'm ALL IN. Hook, line, & sinker. From the song (walk on the water) to the credits. Watched this YT video earlier today, got curious, and some how it's 8pm, I own season 1, and I'm on episode 6- what happened lol🤔😬
"I'm not upset, why would I be upset... _This_ is the man that I married." So beautiful!
Thank you!
Agreed
I also love "How could I feel abandoned? I feel saved."
💙
Yes, I cried so much the Lord touched me in this scene and used it to minister to me the night before I went to lead worship and ministe for the first time after 3 years at the Sunday service of my church.

Damn , you saw that
ooooh, you saw that. You saw deep into that, i applaud you ma'am
this is so beautiful!!
Beautiful put👏🏽
love this!
"So you believe me ?
- You couldnt make this up..."
Amazing dialogue. True love between man and wife, knowing each other so well, trusting each other... and with this hint of self-humor. Great writing...
*JESUS IS KING!!!*
Yes he it ✝️👊😄
Always and Forever 👑
Shout it from the rooftops HALLELUJAH
Always 😘😍 Amen
King of Kings, God himself
I cry every time I watch this scene. It’s the excitement in Simons voice and in his face even though he has no idea what to expect, but trusts. And Edens emotion and conviction in it is outstanding. When she says “come here” I felt the love of a woman who was just so proud of her husband.

Very well said, me too 💙
For a scene that took a lot of liberties (since there is no mention in the Gospels), this was beautifully written and really keeps Jesus in the center. Wonderfully done!
This might be my favorite scene (other than the deeply spiritual ones). Such chemistry between Eden and Simon. So very beautifully done.
Their scenes are so incredible ❤
Awh I cried in this scene she’s a women of faith
Me too

This is one of the those things that make _the chosen_ a different class to all the other Jesus movies - it portrays characters as real humans with real world problems mixed with romance and humor.
Glad you enjoy, Ash GEo- thank you!
Thank YOU. Waiting and praying for season 2 🙏🏽
I agree! They give a beautiful portrayal of what a biblical marriage should look like. It’s very refreshing after all the unbalance Hollywood always shows.
“You are more than a fisherman” so powerful statement
A wife knows her husband's spirit, as well as his strengths and weaknesses. Eden's response here is beautiful.
I can’t see how any other movie about Jesus will ever top this.

I am not a devout Christian, but this series has me hooked!!!!
The acting in this scene is incredible!!! The whole series is life changing!

They are such great examples to be followed!
I'm praying for my marriage and family not to be broken. This blessed me so much. Thank you, Jesus.
May God bless and strengthen your family, Manny. God loves marriage.
Their dialogue is so beautiful, love the way it’s written and genuinely it’s played out. Definitely gonna watch this show 🥺🧡
Please do watch it. My favorite scene is in season 2, when Jesus meets with Nicodemus and explains the new life He gives. And Nicodemus reaction!

So True ❤
Shahar does such a great job at portraying Simon’s passion!
The way she reaches for him. I love it
I love you
I love this scene! Eden's loving support is so inspirational! My favorite line is, "He said that I would catch people instead. I don't even know what that means."
My 2nd favorite line is, "I'd fight tigers for that memory." 🥰
It means he'll follow Jesus he became Jesus student. Amen and Amen
We love that line too, and his enthusiastic delivery ;)
Rapture Ready News and Music Yiu can use the occasional clip, yes.
My favorite line is, “You couldn’t make this up.”
Peter is the only one we know is married from the gospels, though most of them probably were. It is VERY cool to see his wife actually portrayed and see them interact. Great scene.
Lots of prayers and blessings to the entire team of chosen🙏💕
Appreciate all those prayers, Stella!
How can I feel abandoned
...i feel saved...❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amen
I LOVE his delivery of his lines, he really brings out the emotions in it!!
Now that is a wife! It's a great lesson ... always bring your spouse the truth and they will surprise you with the largeness of their heart.
The Chosen Cast...such Phenomenal Actors!
That's fantastic! What a beautiful response from a sacrificial and loving Godly wife! We don't think about the real world sacrifices the disciples and their families would have made!
I love the "thank you for that" so humble.
the wine flowing at the end of the scene is my favorite part- it speaks to me-though I don't yet know what it's saying
Absolutely THE BEST production of Biblical acting I've ever witnessed! So very REAL. Praying for Season 2's success!! Hallelujah 🙌🙏❤️
Your prayers obviously were powerful and effective. Now, I am praying for season three, and then...
This made me cry and shook me to the core. I really love this series, a blessing to so many.
I love the excitement in his voice while he's trying to explain something that he doesn't even understand what he's saying and he says that I don't even know what I'm talkin about but I'm doing it I love it another great scene. And when the camera pans in on the wine coming out of the spout slowly perfect just perfect
Literally this made me in tears.. loads of tears..

"I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!"
that made me laugh more than i should have-
This tender scene will leave you smiling!
This brought me to tears!
God bless us all!!!
i read the Bible every day ! And I watch this a lot, for me it is the best show ever made !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
💖💫 May the Lord continue to bless you all!
Beautiful scene. And I love the sweet, natural flirtations between Simon and Eden. :-)
Chosen is really close to my heart and it changed a few ways of how i had personified Jesus in my mind. Love from India!❤️
The faith in this woman is just overflowing.. and her love and support for her man, wow. Where she at though Lord?!?!😒
Focus on becoming a kingdom man and walking in a way that is worthy of a woman like this. If God has willed marriage for your life, you will find her.
(I keep saying this)...... One of my favorite scenes..
All Glory to God!
One of my favourite scenes♥️🥺🥺

Arguably the best scene in season 1. Legit made me tear up
I thought they would fight and devorce
Very special scene between Eden and Simon. They love and understand each other. Love this 😍💜💚💛
I love her faith in this scene! It's utterly beautiful to see how much she trusts the Lord with her husband 💛
