- Francine Jackson is known to go the extra mile for students riding her “No. 6” school bus. She scours the stores and Internet for costumes to wear on holidays, just to see the looks on students’ faces, and she makes gift bags for her graduating students. And each student, more than 40 or so of them a day, gets a “good morning” and “have a good evening” as they step on and off her bus.

I had a bus driver who was driving since ‘75. She was always nice to me and the kids and always gave us candy at the end of the day. To this day she is still driving. Accident free since ‘75! Bus drivers are the best! I respect Mrs. Jackson.

U drive school bus in GA, this lady is awesome and a good attitude, I admit I wish I had kids like she does, mine are tough and well, in the hood and not easy to keep such a positive state like she does, but I like this woman JUST BY WATCHING THIS VIDEO! You are a well adjusted lady!!!!!
I still remember some of my very kind bus drivers from 45+ years ago. These kids will remember Mrs Jackson, too.

Totally agree. I do as well. I remember my ver y first bus driver in preschool. She was a sweet heart. I could tell you things from back then and it is like I just did them yesterday. But it has been years and years ago. Now I commute by bus different times and people of course. But every time i get on the bus I think about my first bus ride for some reason to and from preschool. It has had an impact on me and how i would get around. Still taking the bus but for a totally different purpose. For work and not for school of course.

That is why I get teared up to hear these bus drivers are making a difference to the people on their buses. It is so heartwarming. I get teared up every time I hear about this. I am crazy for taking the bus. I love it!!

Bus drivers like this make me want to get a job as one of them, I will be happy for the rest of my life when that happens after COVID-19 is gone. If this lady is still around, I hope she's doing well and safe.

This is the kind of thing that makes me tear up in my eyes to here bus drivers saying this stuff about their job. I do remember my pre school bus driver. She was very sweet. And all the way up through school. Had a great experience in riding the bus. All the bus drivers in school taught me along the way about different roads in my life. Now,,,,, as an adult successful in his own business and totally blind I take the bus every where, and still love riding the bus to this day!! Even toady, the bus drivers are suc awesome people are I have told each and every one of them how much I love their authority. Cause little do people know that that is their job. It is not just being behind the steering wheel turning the wheel that makes them a bus driver. Bus drivers are their to do so many other things as well. Directing you on the bus and off keeping you warm on a winter fall chilly morning and cool in the spring and summer. They have teh say of what goes on on that bus. That includes school and tranzit buses and yes. I have ridden them both and still riding buses today to and from work. I know a lot of bus passengers moan and complain about drivers being rude but that is not the case. The driver is their to keep you safe. It’s not their job to hurt you and bee rude to you. Some bus drivers really take their authority more serious than others but all the bus drivers do take their authority. Some of them talk more than others and you have to know that as well. But they are their for all in on purpose. They are their to transport you and a bus driver will tell you all the time. School and tranzit buses. “Our priority is your safety., or your safety is our priority.” If a bus driver says “I want you to listen to me.” They are needing to direct you not bee rude to you. A lot of passengers get this so wrong. And the other thing to and it happens on planes as well, people can’t wait to get off that bus. They run to the door and pile up to it. Wait till the drivers are safely telling you what you should do before getting on and off the bus. As many years and times Having ridden buses I still don’t do anything till the bus driver says something. You follow them as a passenger. Sometimes, people will tell the bus driver. “I don’t need your help. I know what to do!!” Then what happens. They fall on the sidewalk or trip in front of the bus. When they should have waited for a driver to clear the way. Many times I have bus drivers direct me and tell me what i should do and that is their job. It’s not that I don’t know the bus. They are their to do that. so let the bus driver do their job and assist you. Even I have had bus drivers to this day say. “What he your step!” “I want you to listen to what I am about to tell you.” “Be careful of the steps.” These things are not something that is rude. This is good direction nad keeping the passengers safe. One time I was headed back from work. I was getting off the bus and I was taking the driver’s arm to get off the bus and he told me very plainly. “Don’t hang on to me. Yo sure going to grab the bus railing.’ “You hang on to the rails as you go down not the driver.” These kinds of things are not rude. They are direction and this is normal that a bus driver would say these kinds of things. To many times passengers take things so wrong and blame the driver when they need to listen to them. whether you think that driver is correct or not, you do as they say. or another thing that passengers will do is say stuff like this. “Well,,,,,, this bus driver makes me do that but the other bus drivers don’t make me do that.” “Why do I have to do this the other bus. Driver doesn’t make me do that!” For me that is wrong. All drivers do things a bit different so in this case we as riders have to adhere to the driver’s wishes. If they tell you to do something do it. It doesn’t matter what other drivers say, at that moment cause you are with that driver. If they want you doo to do something then you do it. If you get on another bus and a driver asks something of you then you do that. But you never say. “ well, but,,,, this other driver doesn’t make me do that so why should i have to do that now.” This is wrong. If you are on one bus listen to that driver. if you get on another bus then listen to that driver. Riding the bus can bee relaxing and fun if you make it. it is easy. This is why I have never as I look back even back in school, I can’t recall a bus driver yelling at me and calling my attention. that,,,, has never happened. I have always gotten along with all the drivers. Even to this day. From back in preschool from my first bus up to now. As I commute to and from work by bus and everything in between. I absolutely love riding the bus and it can bee a time to relax and relax sorry about that and get to know another fellow passenger in their journey. Also, if you want to get a good conversation started, a bus driver is a great person to do that. Even a simple Hi!! Good morning or evening or night. I have had drivers ask “how is your day!!” And some of them are very quiet and will just let you ride but they always start some conversation. I give bus drivers over 100 percent of my respect. Some people take riding the bus as this painful Mondale thing they have to do but it don’est doesn’t have to bee that way.❤❤

What's really sad is the fact that the kids on my bus get a 'good morning' and a 'have a good day/weekend' from our bus driver, and most of them ignore her. Their definition of "mean" is screwed up. She is not mean at all, in fact, she is one of the nicest bus drivers I've ever known. The kids that ride my bus don't follow the rules, and are very disrespectful and rude towards her. I honestly don't understand how she has not raised her voice at them yet.

No it's not. I drove school bus for 18 years and every school bus manufactured in the last 50 years have stop arm lights that flash. Those lights are simply not working. Why do you think the lights are there if they aren't suppose to turn on?
@@exoressdelivers70 well maybe the bus sign was working. See I have a not so good camera so when I film the older buses, it makes the sign not work. So maybe its the camera. Or you're right and its a malfunction. If it is, then I guess most mvps are malfunctions, considering they're like 20-26 years old

I have to disagree with Ged 1899. I happen to believe that Mrs. Francine Jackson is a great bus driver. She also happens to be the nicest lady you would ever meet. She also is very understanding of the children when they share exciting things that happen at their school every day.
