I decided to go with the 14” M1 Max with 32cores and 64g of ram with 2tb ssd. I spend nearly all day filming and editing. It was a lot of money, but after just 5 days the amount of time I saved in imports, renders, and the fact that I can upload multiple streams of R3D 6k files without it skipping a beat even when luts, grain etc added has allowed me to cut my production time dramatically and time = money.

Loved the comment about the value of fast render times vs. the playback/scrubbing experience of actually editing a video. I completely relate to that and think that's really on the mark. Another thing I notice few people talk about is the web browsing on these machines. I don't care how much editing you do, chances are you spend more time on the web than you do editing. Up until recently, no 16" MacBook Pro could play back an 8K TH-cam video in Chrome and few people talked about that, even though Chrome is probably the most popular web browser. But my new 16" M1 Pro MacBook can actually play 8K video now. It gets about a 272 on Speedometer 2.0. Now that's valuable!

As a PhD in Computer Engineering, the 16” M1Pro is great for interpreted and compiled languages. During undergrad and graduate school, my 2017 14” maxed ram MBP was prefect for a daily…
Probably the best critical review I've seen for the simple fact he focuses on experience in workload instead of arbitrary performance when the difference has become negligible because the duration has become minimal.
I usually just buy the best of the best and then see how long it can last. I'm still on my 2013 MacBook pro and it's holding up well. I don't think I'll have to buy into this current generation of MacBook Pro, but it's nice to see what's out there - already much better than what I'm running on.
Sagi, this was by far one of the best (perhaps the best) videos I have seen reviewing the new Macs. I especially appreciated your in-depth and cogent and coherent explanation of the notch's size relative to its important contents--e.g. the ambient light sensor used to adjust screen brightness and 'temperature'. So many other reviewers seem to focus on denigrating the notch without ever mentioning the substantial requirements the notch must satisfy. This is but one sampling of your balanced and comprehensive coverage, which I think makes you one of the most reliable reviewers.
Gonna pick the base 16” over the 14”! I’ll be traveling between cities most of the time, so getting to use a external display is nearly impossible. I’ll take advantage of the extra screen room in the 16. I won’t have to squint at my screen while video editing 😂
Don’t forget that, more than ever before, a bigger battery is actually a longer lasting battery this time, around something like 3-4 more hours with light usage than the 14 inch
Literally the best review on these laptops I've seen. Very relaxed, direct and easy to understand. Plus the very reasonable advice at the end. "Buy it nice or buy it twice". I've watched tons of reviews but I still couldn't decide which to go for. Thanks to you, now I know exactly what to buy that gets me the bang for my buck. Awesome video! 👌
Ok my buddy in the Christmas Room in Miami, Florida was told to separate his files on his two M1 Macs basic and then send it to his 2017 IMac for uploading and completed his task in no time. From his IMac he controlled all three computers and did his videos in less time. Multitasking at its best! Love your videos BTW.
There is only 1 situation where i would recommend going for the 16 instead of the 14 which is if you don't have an external monitor to connect it with either at home or office, because if u do, a big external monitor will always be better than a 16 inch. And what you gain in portability when u take it outside is not comparable between the two.
I have to disagree. 16” is big enough and it’s gorgeous (better quality than an external monitor). Portability has become less of an issue (for me at least). I’d rather have a big gorgeous incorporated display that I can take to the bed or the sofa immediately. But to each his own, of course, just wanted to present a counter argument based on my (extensive) experience.
My 16" M1 Max 24GB/32GB/2TB is going to be here next week! Way more than I needed, but hey, head room.....right! Appreciate all your videos on the new MBP's. They were a big help in getting me to what I think is my sweet spot (Buy it nice or buy it twice!). Cheers and thanks!
I had been editing on a custom built PC as well. To tell the truth, the main reason I switched to M1 machines is to simplify my life. Instead of tweaking my current machine every year, I'll just replace my Mac every two to three years. Another important reason I switched is for the noise. My old PC was screaming at me when I edited, but the M1 is so quiet that my NAS is now bugging me by being close enough for me to hear the spinning drives. =)
Urgh my NAS is so flipping loud 😂 anyone that comes round to my house asks what that weird noise is! Especially as I'm using the macbook air. It's almost tempting to go for 8tb ssd drives and never worry about messy setups ever again...
Where did the 8 core base model feel slower than the 10 core? I am debating downgrading to the 8 core to save $270 since almost everyone is saying almost no difference in the two extra cpu and gpu cores.
At first I thought I wanted the 14 inch but after going into an Apple Store and holding them side by side. The 16 inch isn’t really “big”. If anything I would say the 14 inch is really small. However I wanted that portability and power. But after seeing what I’m sacrificing to get the 14 inch (less screen as well as worst battery life and thermals as well as smaller speakers) I think I’m gonna go 16 inch. I’m coming from a BEEFY Lenovo gaming laptop that’s 15 inches but thick to hold the fans inside. but when I held the 16 inch, it was significantly thinner than my Lenovo laptop. So it’s almost like that additional inch in size didn’t really matter, it still felt like a thinner, lighter, and more portable laptop despite being 16 inches. And just like you I too really only travel with a laptop in my backpack. I don’t own a sling or anything to carry my laptop around. So I think the 16 inch would be fine.
Thank you so much for sharing your decision-making process. I think you’ve thought this through and are making a decision to get a laptop that will work well for what you need. This is the first time I prefer the larger laptop over the smaller one. Thank you for being part of the channel!
I had the previous Intel 16" (which I sold the moment the M1 dropped as I could see it was gonna plummet in value!). Anyway if you are using a backpack you won't mind the extra size for sure. I absolutely loved the extra screen real estate and huge trackpad on the Intel version (I've missed it on the M1 Air I had as an interim) and it made working when on the road so much more enjoyable (as most of the time the laptop ends up on a hotel desk or table etc rather than on the lap!). Enjoy your new purchase, mine arrives in a couple of weeks :D
I had the same experience. I wanted more real estate and a liquid retina screen. I didn't need all the horsepower but the basic model will last me probably, well forever, I'm 76 this Sept.I wanted to replace my old 13" MacBook and also my old 21" desktop (2013). So now one unit replaces 2. I don't travel much, so it works for me. It works as a desktop and or, sitting on the patio. The "hundreds extra" pales away as time moves on, so future proof vs cheap out. Buy it nice or buy it twice, right!
How long will the late 2021 M1 last? From a security view point the life span is based on 1) how many years Apply will feel like supporting your MBP version with its latest OS update and 2) How many maintaiablity years will they feel that it's cost effective to accept your MPB version for testing; and then theirs the costs of maintaining a stock of repairability parts. Today's collateral question is how long will it take for your favorite apps to mod their S/W to change from Intel to the M-1 chip set. It is noted that in selecting the 16" 64 M1 Max the Intel GPU gets replaced by Apple's GPU.
Great video. I love the "buy it nice or buy it twice" motto. I overbuilt the daylights out of a Windows desktop in 2016, and it still screams. 64GB of RAM was considered a luxury at the time, but it served me well during thousands of hours in Photoshop with heavily layered files. The M1 Max is currently the only way to get 64GB of RAM in a MacBook pro, so you know which one I bought, even though I don't need the extra video editing prowess.
Thank you for the kind words. I love hearing about your experience and Joe thinking of your actual use case resulting in a wide purchasing decision. Good work!
Best to go with the 16 M1 Max 10 32 32. Battery drain on the 14 is much faster than the 16 when maxed out. Processing speed makes little difference between the 64gb ram capped at 32gb.
I have been using big sized mbp such as mbp 17, mbp 15 and mbp 16 (intel) before i went to 13" mbp m1. And yeah it is too small for my usage that involves graphic designing, programming and 3d modelling. However overtime i find that 13" is actually very usable and the privilege of having such a powerful machine in a small form factor is a bonus. Then when 14 and 16 mbp m1 pro released, i was in dilemma again. Part of me said finally the big screen mbp is back, while another part of me said i will miss the small form factor. So I went to apple store to compare almost everything i can. From the dimension, weight, screen estate, audio etc. For me yes 16" isnt that bigger in sized but it is noticeably heavier than the 14". The screen estate is definitely bigger than the 14" more than I thought and is really a plus point. The audio is louder, and more bass, but not that big difference. The 14" sounds great on its own. After a long thought, I went for the 14" with 1tb ssd and i couldnt be happier!
Just ordered 16” m1max 64gb 2tb with fcp instilled coming February-January for video editing and software development. I can wait I waited a whole month for 1 month reviews to make a decision and it was worth the wait I can definitely wait again. Plan on keeping it for 8 years plus or until it stop working like my 2014 MacBook Pro that stop working three months ago after owning it for 7 years it stopped working because it was lagging n freezing then decide to shut down because It was not enough space like every second. I toke me like 6hr sometimes just to edit one video seriously it was so laggy and about 2hr just to export and when I was done exporting the video n finally get to watch it and realize I made a mistake I would have to go back an edit for hrs because it laggy then export for hr.’if it wasn’t for that I would have kept it or it shutting down. So don’t let nobody judge for wanting to future proof for that little head room
I love hearing that you kept your laptop for 7 years - that's such a good move. I'm a big believer in only upgrading when you need it. Thank you for sharing!
I always enjoy your videos for both content and presentation style, and I watch them all even when my budget will never allow purchasing the item you're covering (like these MacBooks). I appreciate that you stress sticking with a consumer level model (in my case the M1 Mac mini) if you're not making money with your computer.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback Bryan. Like you said, it's important to me that people make buying decisions based on what they actually need, and not get swept into the marketing hype. Appreciate you being part of the channel!
Everyone seems to ignore :- Screen quality Speaker quality Build quality Power efficiency Ecosystem Trackpad and keyboard quality Charging with an Ipad charger It's not just for content creation, the 16/14" M1 pro is also flat out the best content consumption laptop out there on top of being an email/internet browser. I don't make a penny from it, but I find i take it everywhere around the house and barely turn on the PC anymore.
Yes please do a video where you talk a bit more about the difference between the fan noise in the 16 inch Macbook M1 Pro and 16 inch Macbook M1 Max. How often they come on and how loud. if there is a noticeable difference between the two.
So did you find much of an editing performance increase from the Base 16" to the Max 16"? That's what I'm struggling to decide at the moment. My projects aren't super complicated, but I am editing GH6 files now, which can be quite high quality (not using ProRes files). I'm considering spending the extra money on 2 Tb Base 16", instead of upgrading to the 24 core M1 Max
At 11:27, you meant to say, "at $300 per year", not "at $300 per day". In that case, it would NOT be worth it (ha, ha) Great video and very helpful. I like your style, speed, thoroughness, clear annunciation and articulation. Well done, man.
if you want the max you should really go with the 16" for better battery life and performance - it has been confirmed already that GPU on the max has higher frequency on the 16" (AFAIK 1100MHz vs 1300 MHz, and on the 14" it can go below 950MHz)
The difference in price between 32gb Pro and Max is not that much especially taking into account the overall price of the laptop. I wouldn’t say that spending extra money doesn’t worth it
I got the base 16” and it is amazing, such a pleasure to use and I’ve not heard the fans at all, I use it for sketch up and rendering and it’s so quick.
I really wanted the base 2021 16" Pro but ouch it's expensive, so picked up a base 2019 16" Pro for less than half the price of the 2021 model, and after using both side by side, for my needs, I'm happy
That’s crazy. The M1 MacBook Air is a faster machine than any Intel MacBook ever released including the 16 inch pros. But I’m glad you’re happy with your purchase
I feel like these higher end maxed out MacBooks are for people where “time is money” and shaving off time and streamlining processes allows them to increase their income or complete their job faster freeing up time they would’ve spent working. Im not sure if it’s the same everywhere else but here in Scotland the MacBook Pro’s in the past were more of a status symbol where people bought them to literally just do essays on. Now people seem annoyed because they seem more expensive but they just don’t get the fact that it’s a PRO device for a reason 😂
@@fabolousjada5070 Apple is overpriced but my point is that these new devices aren’t for average people. They’re for people with really demanding workflows that wouldn’t mind spending the money to speed up their work
Thanks man! Love the iPad and macbook videos, always recommend your videos to friends who aren’t into the ecosystem to watch your videos before buying a iPad!
I ordered mine in Mid November five weeks later I am still waiting for it. My advice is not to hesitate if you need a replacement. Hopefully my old one will hold out.
I have a 16” 32c 32gb M1 max. Whenever I have photoshop and Lightroom open the memory pressure goes yellow (never red) I don’t see any drop in performance. I will have safari (6 tabs) email, messenger and maybe 10 photoshop projects open and Lightroom. Is it ok/normal for these computers to go into yellow? Istat pro says it never goes above 79% memory usage but it still uses swap
I don't get why people call the 16 inch MacBook Pro big. There's nothing that has this much power or even close to it that is thinner and lighter. Most people (not you Tech Gear Talk) need to realize that.
Lustig. Dieses Video öffnet sich jedes Mal, wenn ich youtube öffne. Damals hatte ich ein 13" Pro, dann ein Air M1 und jetzt habe ich ein 14" Pro.:D Thank you!
I just bought a base MacBook Air 2 weeks ago, with the idea to buy a 14” or 16” later this year to replace my defective 15” MBP, but the air is sooo nice that I even wonder if I am going to
I’ve had the M1 Max 32GB with 1TB SSD and I’ve made so much money off of it it’s scary. I had the base model 16 inch but once I started adding motion graphics and stuff it hit the bricks even on FCPX. After Effects was horrible on the base model….like a nightmare. When I upgraded to the Pro Max it changed everything. If you have the extra bank don’t cheap out especially if you use it everyday. I do same day edits at weddings with my Max and let me tell you I never regretted spending 3800 on this beast 💯 Great review buddy!
So you mention elsewhere that the Max vs Pro isn't noticeable for most people but then in this video you say that it is noticeable just for playback and skimming during video editing. Can you clarify that please? Thanks
0:09 : Finally I can get that Wallpaper that I thought it was Impossible to find. And now, I use it as Wallpaper for my Android Phone and My Windows Laptop
You should split your video in sections like the other ones are doing. For example, I'm only interested in battery efficiency and heating and I don't know where to find that in your video.
Thanks for the insightful video and all the effort you put into it. Say, the Wallpapers are great; where did you get them from? Somehow I missed them...
I discovered your channel I guess about a month ago and honestly you're my best new TH-cam discovery of 2021. Your presentation and relaxed style make every video an easy watch (I also include MKBHD in this category), very informative content that focuses on real life use cases more often than benchmarks, great production, quality over quantity, and you've helped me with my MacBook Pro purchasing decision which I appreciate (boy did I watch a lot of videos before buying!). Also an added bonus when you show F1 clips when demonstrating the screens on products (huge F1 fan here!). Thanks and all the best :)
I am like a lot of people out there who uses a MacBook Pro as a regular laptop. I am one for the larger screen, don't care about weight and thickness. From your video, the base model is more than sufficient for regular users, no need for addition memory, cores, etc...
Your words haunt me (buy it nice or buy it twice). I bought a 13-inch M1 base with 16GB of ram 3 months ago and already need to upgrade. I'm in full regret. I use these machines for work not for fun, and I should have gone all out. 😭
I'm so sorry to hear that - hopefully you can still get a good amount of that money when you re-sell. Thank so much for watching and for being part of the channel!
Trying to decide whether I should purchase the MacBook Air 2020 or wait until potentially the MacBook Air 2022 comes out! Do you have any insights on the subject?
Thanks for the reviews. Which 2020 model would you Recc below? Appreciate the help! 1. MBA - $1259 8/8 Core 16GB unified memory 1TB SSD1 2. MBP - $1295 8/8 Core 16GB unified memory 512GB SSD1
My 16" M1 Max with 64gb & 8tb ssd flies through everything except for a short section of Canon R5 8k all-i h265 clip that I sped up 5000% on the latest Davinci Studio 17. It only slowed down when rendering that portion & the full 8k 6min 30 sec video took about 10mins 15sec to render. This thing is such a huge time saver & I'm much happier to make videos as it way more responsive than my 13 year old laptop
I really do agree with everything you just said, but there is one thing I'm not sure what was your conclusion. As like you, I really don't care about render time since It's a minor task in my life, BUT I DO WONDER ABOUT WORKFLOW as like you, but yet, I'm not sure if you said M1Pro and M1Max offers the same kind of workflow? Specifically since at last you seem to advice for the M1Max since you make money with it... So if we really only care about workflow, is the M1Pro enough are it will be a lot more laggy? (still less than many computers, but a lot more than M1Max?)
I'm still happy with the 2019 16 inc MBP, the only thing it bothers me is it heats up when plugged into an external monitor. I think I'd sell it and get the M1 Pro.
Just discovered your channel, love your style and down-to-earth logical analysis! Personally, video export time is important to me. May I ask how big of a difference time-wise are you seeing between the Pro vs. Max configuration?
Hi there. I came across your channel recently and I have to say that your content and presentation style is awesome. I am a photographer and use high resolution cameras like the Sony A7R3 and A7R4. I have a mid 2014 Macbook Pro maxed out with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Lightroom CC and Photoshop do slow down when editing these large RAW files. Wha do you recommend? E.g, Macbook Air or a MacBook Pro? Also, what config? Thanks!
So is the M1 Max faster at playing back/scrubbing in 4K projects than the M1 Pro in Davinci Resolve Studio? If yes, by how much? You did point it out but you didn't go to the full conclusion. They all talk about exporting time which is way less important in fact than the system responsiveness while video editing. EDIT: The M1 Max has 2 decode engines for ProRes so I suspect you only get better scrubbing performance with ProRes.
The software can’t catch up. I’m experiencing lags on final cut pro too. On audio tracks especially. It’s frustrating considering the video files and graphic plugins have no issue.
The user experience! yes...that's the most important thing-I want to replace my old iMac late 2013...I want to wait for the new iMacs next year but I'm so tempted to getting a 16" M1pro base....I use Premiere pro which is not fully optimized for the M1 yet...and maybe FCP X is faster but don't care for now...do you think 16GB ram is enough? I may do some After Effects but not 3D etc...I know I will need a 4k monitor too. How practical is to use one of these ones as a desktop replacement? Clamshell mode? I wish I know that Apple has in store for next year's iMacs M1pro/Max or whatever. I can only afford one computer! I want to continue to use my Lacie 20GB Thunderbolt 2 drive...hmmm..I guess you are right: buy it nice or buy it twice! thanks for your advice!
Most CPUs are overkills for majority users nowadays. Factors like screen size and qualities, keyboard, speakers are more important, I would just pick an 16 inch one with 32gb memory for running multiple docker images.
Hi Sagi, really nice review. I really like the quality of the shots. Can you be kind enough to tell me what equipments you use such as camera, tripod, light system, software to edit video. Thank you!!
Once again, if someone would ask what would be the best model for me, do you think it would be entry level or the maxed out? I had to choose between entry level or double the ram. I watched 500 comparison videos and none compared my options. I chose the latter, but it might be a mistake.
Ram is only incredibly important for music production or when you have multiple programs running at once. If you’re not doing heavy duty work you should be totally fine

Surplus power act as a buffer and provide additional power when system requirements for the average app increases over time
Surplus power = future-proofing

I have to disagree. 16” is big enough and it’s gorgeous (better quality than an external monitor). Portability has become less of an issue (for me at least). I’d rather have a big gorgeous incorporated display that I can take to the bed or the sofa immediately. But to each his own, of course, just wanted to present a counter argument based on my (extensive) experience.
@@marianobarcia i have a 34 inch monitor on my desk. Cant even compare what i can do with it and with a 16 inch MacBook...
@@joaoroman9583 who doesn’t have an external monitor…?
@@marianobarcia Then why should I use the 16'' monitor when I am at home?
@@malageb1 because it’s XDR and also it’s portable for when you want to take it to the bed or the sofa
That's awesome Jim - CONGRATS!!!! So glad I've been able to help.
Agreed. There is value in buying a loaded MacBook, to ‘future proof’ it. Who knows what demands the so called Metaverse will bring
With the m1 pro you won't really have to think about changing every 2 or 3 years I'm sure maye
Urgh my NAS is so flipping loud 😂 anyone that comes round to my house asks what that weird noise is! Especially as I'm using the macbook air. It's almost tempting to go for 8tb ssd drives and never worry about messy setups ever again...
Just ordered base 16” M1 Pro for casual use.
Thank you so much for comparing these two! It's so helpful!
I'm glad the video was helpful Demetri!
Your videos are so helpful, I went with the base 14”. Thanks
So glad to hear that - CONGRATS!
Same I also ordered base 14"
Thank you always for subtitles. Really helps alot since English is 2nd language
I'm so glad they are helpful!
How much ram did you choose? for 3D modeling, I am hesitating if I should update to 32
Nicely done. You got exactly what you wanted, suited to your personal and professional requirements. Did you keep the 13.3" M1, or plan to sell it?
Have you seen a difference in handling large amounts of raw files? Wondering if the 2x difference in disk bandwidth is noticeable.
Please could you share where you got your wallpapers from for the M1s? They're stunning!
Did you find out?
@@lbglbg unfortunately not, sorry 😭
M1 max fully maxed out would be insane in a Mac Pro. Bigger body would definitely keep it cool and allow it to work at full potential..
Recently upgrade from my MBP M1 13' to a factory refurb M1 Pro 16' from micro center at great deal! Extremely happy with my purchase!
This was the best video review for the MacBook Pro ever seen. You answered all the questions and it flowed great job
Thanks for the info.
Hope it was helpful
The "experience" point is huge. Thanks for mentioning that.
Where do you get the sweet wallpaper for the MacBook?
And to create music? Working with DAW, plugging an audio interface, record multitracks... and so on! Which one is the best?
Everyone seems to ignore :-
Screen quality
Speaker quality
Build quality
Power efficiency
Ecosystem
Trackpad and keyboard quality
Charging with an Ipad charger
It's not just for content creation, the 16/14" M1 pro is also flat out the best content consumption laptop out there on top of being an email/internet browser.
I got the 16" base 1TB just to learn how to edit my drone videos etc.
Really good analysis.
Na they have a right apple is over priced
@@fabolousjada5070 Apple is overpriced but my point is that these new devices aren’t for average people. They’re for people with really demanding workflows that wouldn’t mind spending the money to speed up their work
Thanks man! Love the iPad and macbook videos, always recommend your videos to friends who aren’t into the ecosystem to watch your videos before buying a iPad!
I really appreciate you!
Which one do you recommend for 3D model and animation, game development, music production and playing some games? Is it base 16 enough?
You said right, the editing experience is important ! 👏👏👏
I would like to know too
better get 64gb
I don't get why people call the 16 inch MacBook Pro big. There's nothing that has this much power or even close to it that is thinner and lighter. Most people (not you Tech Gear Talk) need to realize that.
Hi, where can I find those wallpapers?
Lustig. Dieses Video öffnet sich jedes Mal, wenn ich youtube öffne. Damals hatte ich ein 13" Pro, dann ein Air M1 und jetzt habe ich ein 14" Pro.:D Thank you!
so if you wanted a better editing experience, but didnt need faster render times, would you upgrade the GPU or CPU?
I'll like to know too. Esp for Premiere and AE!
Curious, what do you do with all the laptops when you're done reviewing them? Do you sell them?
Probably returns them to be open-boxed by the likes of BestBuy.
I do same day edits at weddings with my Max and let me tell you I never regretted spending 3800 on this beast 💯
Great review buddy!
Just wondering if the 14" model would be able to handle that file you exported into the 16" model?
those macbook backgrounds look awesome, where can i find them?
So you mention elsewhere that the Max vs Pro isn't noticeable for most people but then in this video you say that it is noticeable just for playback and skimming during video editing. Can you clarify that please? Thanks
0:09 : Finally I can get that Wallpaper that I thought it was Impossible to find. And now, I use it as Wallpaper for my Android Phone and My Windows Laptop
congrats Adin!
Where are they to be found?
You should split your video in sections like the other ones are doing. For example, I'm only interested in battery efficiency and heating and I don't know where to find that in your video.
Thanks for the insightful video and all the effort you put into it.
Say, the Wallpapers are great; where did you get them from? Somehow I missed them...
Where can we find the wallpapers in the laptops?
I would like to know as well.
Truly best video on those macs. Thanks a lot mate
I’m so glad it was helpful!! Thank you for being part of the channel!
your wallpaper on laptops are amazing . they just gave you a sub . 🤣🤣😂
1. MBA - $1259
8/8 Core
16GB unified memory
1TB SSD1
2. MBP - $1295
8/8 Core
16GB unified memory
512GB SSD1
This helped me, I appreciate it!
Great content. Exporting time difference is crazy…
I'm still happy with the 2019 16 inc MBP, the only thing it bothers me is it heats up when plugged into an external monitor. I think I'd sell it and get the M1 Pro.
So do I.
Just discovered your channel, love your style and down-to-earth logical analysis! Personally, video export time is important to me. May I ask how big of a difference time-wise are you seeing between the Pro vs. Max configuration?
Speaking about balance of performance and battery life, do you think the 24 GPU M1 Max could be the sweet spot in the 14 inch?
Great advice thanks for the review!
Thanks!
perfect timing!!! thank you! 🙏
Hope it was helpful!
But how much faster is it compared to intel MacBook with Final Cut?
This was very informative to watch, thank you!
Amazing video, thanks!
The software can’t catch up. I’m experiencing lags on final cut pro too. On audio tracks especially. It’s frustrating considering the video files and graphic plugins have no issue.
Great review!, I just bought 14inch base model, I wondered if does stil have a staingate issue?
Question, What displays are you using for your desktop setup?
I would like to buy a mac for editing purpose.. I am a learner and for me time is not money at present.. Which mac should I go for ??
Another great informative video. Thank you for sharing.
I was actually considering the Pro and now realize the Air will be sufficient.
Glad it was helpful! If you don't need a Pro, save that money!
Hi, thanks for this video! It is really thorough. Are you going to post a comparison between the M1 pro 16" base model and the M1 max?
Most CPUs are overkills for majority users nowadays. Factors like screen size and qualities, keyboard, speakers are more important, I would just pick an 16 inch one with 32gb memory for running multiple docker images.
Hi Sagi, really nice review. I really like the quality of the shots. Can you be kind enough to tell me what equipments you use such as camera, tripod, light system, software to edit video. Thank you!!
Can you upgrade the 16 inch m1 pro to m1 max in the future?
i don't see my notch anymore so there is something you can do to make it disappear.
